Hi jenkins.

you can download my web surfer plugin here and has been updated:

http://www.zabaware.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3026&whichpage=1&SearchTerms=websurfer

unzip it to your Ultra Hal Assistant folder and then go to brain plugin options and choose []Web surfer, with this plugin all you have to do is type: go to www.yahoo.com

or you can find images by asking HAL: find an image of an Eagle and HAL will find that image on the internet.

you can also ask HAL, find a map of California and HAL will load a map of that state, cities, states, provinces, world it doesn't matter.

Ok Thanks, I was a little mad because I did not know what to do and it was not a phone number or anything. You want something to work, after you pay for it, ya know. However,I am sorry. I really like Ultra Hal and I want to learn a lot about it. Looking at the things, you guys created made me change my career. This is my dream.

To answer the question, yes, I did turn it on in the system. I try to click on the training and it did not do anything.

Thanks for responding

May I make a suggestion? You only need to post your problem in one place, not in 4 or 5. If you do this you will get more help faster as everyone can see what has already been suggested. All of the older members here read everypost no matter where it is, so keep it simple and limit your postings to just one spot.
Now for the question of speach. Do you have a microphone and did you turn it on in the system before clicking on training? It could be that your mic is not working correctly.
Also Hal to my knowledge does not just surf the net but it will search for a 'named' site but you have to be specific. I could be wrong on this last point as I don't use Hal for that at all.

Hi jenkins.

If the microphone is still not working then try to download the SAPI5
engine here and installing it:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5E86EC97-40A7-453F-B0EE-6583171B4530&displaylang=en

if your microphone is working then please kindly disregard this posting.

Okey, I downloaded it. Now I could train my speech. So I trained and clicked on apply and nothing happened. I clicked on ok and recieved this error: 401

Can't show non-modal from when modal form is displayed. Occurred at line 10 in Ultra Hal Assistant:frmRight click. Form_MouseMove.

I click retry and got nothing. Then I clicked abort. Finally I tried to talk to Rock, I turned the lic on, and he did nothing. I'm stuck, what do I do now?

Another little suggestion. Evey time you download something for Hal you should turn off your PC and then reboot it before the downloads take effect.

[purple]Okey, I found out what was wrong. I checked the speech in control panel and discovered I needed an update from Microsoft English Recognizer 4.0 to v5.1. I installed the update and Now, Guess What! It Works! Thanks for everything. Now I think I need to start running my mouth. Talk to you later
