Getting haps to work

Ok I got the Hap file and set it up with the loading screan and the preview screen but when it goes to load the chat it say file could not be found. :/ what am I doing wrong. I am useing the free virison of ultra Hal.

The error I am getting is.

error loading agent charactar: -214702894-2: The system cannot find the file specified.

anyone else ever have that?

Did you choose the default settings when you installed?

Did you have any other agent type programs running at the same time (like Cyberbuddy, etc.)?

Try turning off any anti-virus / firewall programs as well.

Basically, do the above items, delete UltraHal, then reinstall from scratch.

Should work providing your system meets the minimum requirements.

I did all that and it still does not work.
there should be a simple tut for downloading and installing the haptech char and getting it to load up in Hal.

Tnt101, I think the error message is related to Microsoft msagents and not to Haptek. I think there must be something wrong with your msagent-software.

I wonder why you are getting a message related to msagent-software when you are loading a Haptek-character.
The free version only likes to use the included haptars, Zaba and Hal. You have to "cheat" to be able to use a different Haptar by switching filenames. You already knew that of course?
