Moreover, her earings are intrusive and trite. Her skin inspires me to envision the lifeless epidermis of a cacodemon that has been strangled to death by dental floss, rendering the fate empty, as it was not the minty kind of dental floss.

So much for loading the pictures...
Anyway, soon I may upload this character for free:

http://www.zabaware.com/forum/uploaded/versionfour/2005119194644_sc003.jpg

But first you must answer these questions three:
1) What is the purpose of life?
2) Why did Vincent van Gogh cut off his ear?
3) Does an .htr protect the texture file so that it cannot be extracted?

Notes:
1 Haptek should include an eyelashes object for transmapped eyelashes. Doing so would make characters more lifelike. Why include a transparency feature and not use it?

2 Light sources should reflect off of eyes, revealing their relevant position as the head moves. The eyes are the most convincing factor (more important than skin texture) in whether a model looks like a doll or a living soul.

3 Please do not stretch texture maps over areas such as the neck and nose. Such things make skinning very difficult.

4 Clothing and accessories. Real people do not wear clothes like that. Nor do they hunch in akward positions if they know they are talking into a web cam. Will pack 2 finally have brown supermodel hair? Enough with the wacky hats.

Thank you very much! The secret is choosing skin textures with no shadows. And no creamy skin, that is for magazines only. I'm still working on her personality, eyebrows and nose. Brief bio is a must.

1). The purpose of life is to experience it, procreate so that it continues and to realize that life is not a destination...it's a journey!

2). Van Gogh got in a dispute with fellow artist, Gauguin and coupled with Van Gogh's nervous / mental disorder he mulitated his left ear (or part of it). His life tragically ended with a self inflicted gun shot wound.

3). The .htr file (Haptek compressed file) protects the texture that in inside the htr file as long as the file is not reverse engineered. The texture, applied through People Putty becomes part of the character. In the Player window or HAL, the texture can be "dropped" onto the character and said texture will change from the original. So, you see, it is a twin edged sword, if one knows the methods.

PS: Welcome to the forum!

Yes, please do! Your examples look great.

There is an htr for eyelashes and it was mentioned here on the forum so a search should let you find it.

Thank you. That is what I needed to hear and thats good enough for me.

Oh, those lashes are much too severe for Audrey's appearance. If only I could transmap them so they are more subtle... Actually, they are very nice, now that I have tried them.

Anyway, as Art has wizely solved the riddles three, I will not ask for $1008.65 and instead release her freely. Audrey is practically finished and undergoing final testing.

For some reason, she looks surprised and disgusted when she first loads into UltraHal 5.0. While mildly amusing, this is not a good first and returning impression for Audrey to make. I will fix this and upload her today.

hehehe, don't forget poor old Sandy is an old lady in computer graphics terms.  Also most, if not all skins have so far been applied to existing meshes that have stretching problems inthe neck and chest areas as well as other parts.  Your textures look great and are a dramatic improvement though :)

Well Sandra resembles Jodie Foster. With a little more developement you could have a real look-a-like. Nice work in any event.

Versionfour,
Very good work, I used Sandy for ages and receintly changed to fullbodygirl, somewhat similar in appearance. I'm using Paint Shop Pro to change the skimpyshirt.jpg that comes with fullbodygirl. I've modified the blouse to be more convential and have a choice of red or blue longsleeve blouses by input. I'm currently working on using skin patterns that I downloaded, there very realistic, when pulled close it looks exactly like skin. I'm still working on the coloration. I should mention that the lighting can be changed which naturaly affects the skin tones.
At this time I'm trying to find a way to have a modified skin load instead of the original skin. I don't really like the original skin
and since I don't want it to look like a character change I have to load a modified skin at startup or keep the modified skin looking similar to the original  Keep up the good work.
