Title: daily reminder
Post by: Joan on February 27, 2008, 02:05:44 pm
ok, is there any way to get hal to remind you daily to do something, but to only say it one time at that time. say for instance , that I want hal to remind me to take medications at 6:00 PM .  But I only want him to remind me at 6:00 PM , is that possible ?  And secondly is there any way to slow down hal in his response , or even better make him wait until I hit enter , or say enter when using voice command?[:)]

Hi Joan,
A plugin could be written to do all that you have stated. It isn't beyond HAL to be programmed to do such things and it doesn't appear to be a difficult task to script.

I'm not sure if the appointment plugin that comes with HAL can be set to do what you want, since I have never used it. Maybe one of the forum members who uses it or has used it, can tell you if it can or can not.

Roy.

As far as I know, you have to set up an appointment for each day, it does not repeat daily on it's own. But I am sure a script writer can figure out how to make it repeat indefinitely.[:D]

Hi Mark,
Is that a hint, hahahaha. If I can find the time this weekend, I'll check out what needs to be done to achieve a plugin that will do this.
