Newby Question

I just installed hal and seems to work fine. But I cant find an option to enable hal access the internet. The general options tab doesnt seem to display an internet choice like seen in the help files.

Also, how can a person get info into hal's brain via a text file?

You can have hal find a topic for you on google.  Just tell hal to research a topic and hal will open a search for that topic.

Example:

Research cows
Research midget russian basketball players

I think there are other things Hal can do for you internet wise.

One doesn't "get into" Hal's brain via a text file per se, but rather one can use the Brain Editor to view / edit various tables and entries as well as the basic brain script file.

Before so doing, make a backup of the Halbrain file as accidents within the brain seem to be a common reason of Hal not working properly later.
In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!
