A member here has made me thing of an idea: have the option to make the Ultrahal Window 100% transparent!! I know we talked about this before, but it would be great if we could do that.

The Hal icon in the system tray could change the transparency, when the UH window and controls are invisible. We could use the Haptek console, or an external window for input and  output of words and scripts.

If it was at all possible, I'd like to break my Fullbody girl free of the Haptek or Hal Window.

Like this:

(except the UH window would be invisible)

That's because Desktop Mates are much like the MS Agent characters instead of Haptek ones.

There is a GUI for Hal that has no character showing.
In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!

Yes, but it seems that the character has to be by the window, or always wants to return to the window.

Hi Mark, Hal is a terrific program and I don't have any bad intention to convert anyone to something else (on his dedicated site!) [:)]. Just made two little experiments with my prehistoric computer.

1- With a bot of mine on Pandorabots (must be connected):

2- With my 2girls stuff, saying random sentences to me (in French, lol):

The gals were moving and speaking on the screen when I took the screenshots (not a background). I used the Active Desktop (it's obviously possible to get rid of the icons). It works because the 2 stuffs are just 2 html pages and I don't know if HAL can be used like that.

BTW it's just for fun, and I never use that, because needing half of the resources of my dear old PC!! [:D][:D][:D]

Time to waste with skits, bots & other useless things? Why not visit

Cool. I like Ultra-Hal and Haptek because I understand it better. If I knew how to make other programs work, I'd try it. [:D][:D][:D][:D]
