Thanks sybershot, i appreciate that ! i could actually probably do even better but i have to kinda restrain myself a little on the singing as others in the area may complain of the noise.

You don't need to worry about your neighbors, just back away from the mike a bit and leter rip, if you are recording guitar and singing on separate tracks or using two mikes into a y.

What i have is a kareoke machine an older wal mart one that had the cassette players on top , the sound level is actually messed up i have to set it at a certain high level , i used one mic and the pc vanbosko's kareoke machine for music and lyrics , i will try to realease a better one , i had to redo one song about three takes before i got it this good , police scanner went off in other room , one take didn't sound good, etc.
 I use the solo setting on audacity to make my voice louder to keep the music from making the haptar lips move due to the sound.
  i think i just need to record the music part a little louder and do the solo voice track louder than the music , i think thats the problem. []
