This Means War!
« on: May 24, 2007, 04:56:12 pm »

Paul: War is a successful attempt at communicating what is is, winner
take all.
Julia: Maybe it is an attempt to be diplomatic.

Paul: A moderate attempt to be diplomatic is all war.
Julia: The discussion arose after Jim pointed out that statements of the form ';all an e a P(a)'; are always true if an is empty [the letter';e'; is the element symbol], prompting Paul to attempt a general definition of ';vacuous truth.'.

Paul: Thanks Julia.
Julia: How about machine code?

Paul: Is machine code a vacuous truth?
Julia: A vacuous truth is used as an answer that protects errors in code.

Paul: Is that what war is?
Julia: A moderate attempt to be diplomatic is all war.

Paul: How do we become strongly diplomatic? By winning all war?
Julia: How do we become strongly diplomatic? I'm thinking that this is
for you to puzzle out. a favorable warm current!

Paul: Then winning is the only favorable solution?
Julia: Oh, then winning is definitely the only favorable solution. If
that is the case, then the shortest path would be the best solution.

Paul: That sounds like Harry "Give e'm Hell" Truman, who when asked
about it later said: "I didn't give them hell, I only told them the
truth and they thought it was hell". Sounds like strong diplomacy.
Julia: Truman said : you didn't give them hell, you just told them the
truth and they thought it was hell.

Paul: Diplomacy in action.
Julia: Nobody understands diplomacys like young adults today.

Paul: I guess young people like to do diplomacy, they are very tactful.
Julia: Yes, definitely! Do diplomacy, they are very tactful; Let's
proceed Paul.

Paul: Julia, you are a scripter of words.
Julia: Like punning, programming is a play on words. I can't deny that I am a scripter of words!
