Ultra Hal 7.0 / Nice face site. Can it be replicated?
« on: March 12, 2008, 05:31:13 pm »
Stumbled across this site from a link somwhere else and was wondering what program they used to make their face. http://cubo.cc/
The face is extremely likelike and would love to find a way to incorporate something like this into UltraHal.  have used haptek up until now and just thought this would be a nice evolution.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Newbie question
« on: February 12, 2005, 01:23:03 pm »
I have a very very newb question.  I have owned ultrahal for quite some time but never really got around to playing with it.  I decided to finally install it on a laptop and get to training it.  My question is does Hal retain his knowledge when upgrading his brain?  Say i use XTF 1.0 now and train him and teach him and 6 months later Von comes out with XTF 2.0.  If I start using 2.0 will Hal retain everything i taught him while using 1.0 or will i have to start again from scratch?

Secondly i was going to install Hal on my computer at home so that i can train him while i am there. What files or directory will i need to put onto cd-rw to tranfer back and forth between the two comps?

Thank you guys for putting up with these questions and i look forward to any help i get.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Newbie Question about teaching Hal
« on: April 10, 2004, 04:55:47 pm »
Howdy all.  I hate to ask such a stupid question but i couldn't seem to find the answer myself.  I recently reinstalled Hal onto my computer and decided to start teaching him again.  I remember back awhile ago there was a post about the proper way to word statements to get him to remember.  Example:

User: If what is your favorite food, then your favorite food is pizza.

Does the above method still stand true for the new Hal.  I have the 5.0 version installed and i also installed the XTF 1.2 brain.

Also, how do i get Hal to change his age.  Hal keeps saying that he is 9 years old everytime i ask him age.  Is it best just to go through the .brn files and make a change that way or can it be changed by talking to Hal and forcing him to learn a new age?

If anyone happens to know where the post is that explains proper wording for teaching Hal or if someone has the time to write up a FAQ on how to get the most out of teaching Hal, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Is it possible to embed Aimbot onto a webpage?
« on: November 06, 2003, 04:32:13 pm »
I have been searching the web to no avail.  I have given out my aimbots screenname to some friends to play with and help it learn a bit.  I was wondering if there is a script somewhere on the net that i can embed into a website that would allow people that visit my site to chat with the aimbot as well?  I was thinking that this would be a good chance that it will learn a few things that i won't think about teaching it.  I also would like the script to be kinda real time.  I really like the way that the chatbot Infinigon runs with the picture but i want to use UltraHal instead in that same way like at http://www.runabot.com/infigon/ ....also i want to be able to use the Haptek People Putty face that i created for people to see while they chat at the website since i made the face to look like one of my real life friends and i want to hear her freak out, hehe.  It looks like i am asking alot but this would be a fun chance to open up our chatbots for alot more people to see.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Aim bot still telling people what it is.
« on: November 06, 2003, 08:22:32 am »
Anyone figure out a way to get the AIM bot to stop saying the it is a chatbot and where it was made and the link?  I thought that with 5.0 that there would be a option included that allowed us to turn that off.  Getting kind of sick of it doing the whole "You are talking with an Ultra Hal artificial intelligence bot running software created by www.zabaware.com " a couple times per conversation.  If there isnt a option to turn it off, has anyone firgured out how to erase that section from its brain and make it go away?
