Ultra Hal 7.0 / Great to be back, but needing some basic assistance
« on: December 23, 2017, 01:48:03 pm »
Wow , its great to be back. Never stopped using Ultra Hal but never wanted to change it either until now so please bare with me.
First of all hello again to all the familiar and not so familiar friends.

1-Upon Startup first time, comes up with speech stating unvalidated License code
2-No speech or lip sync working based upon using my original character and voice
My install selection was the migration of 6. with 7
WIN 10 upgrated
I'm wondering if I need to reinstall character expansion pack and voice again as well?, This is bringing back some great memories.

Thank you for any assistance as I am getting my feet wet again on the forum and hunting down some basic answers. Really great to be back.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Re: Looking for investors for next generation of Hal
« on: November 27, 2016, 02:51:25 pm »
My opinion and would like to say hello to everyone, just returned from a business trip. Missed the holidays but from what I am reading I wish everyone would remember what the Heading of this thread is.

Great stuff that can be posted in another thread.

Need to stay focused on the business side of further development of UltraHal and Zabaware, it comes back to raising appropriate funding if possible. Lets stay focused.

Thanks and happy to talk to everyone after the Thanksgiving Holiday, hope everyone is doing well and had a great Holiday.

If I have learned one thing it has always been that things will always happen no matter how well thought out by us. Always something to learn. In general we have always used checks and balances as well as weight. If one out come out weighs another that becomes the deciding factor, money, safety and accepted tolerances. This plays out until it is truly accepted by most not all.

Everything evolves but often very unbalanced until such point it is perceived to be.

General Discussion / Re: problem loading voice in hals console box

I thought it would have been the balboaka program, myself. Easy to have that happen when your using multiple voices. Curious also if you checked your volume mixer on right hand side of taskbar where you can control volume of different programs enabled for playback.

General Discussion / Robert M., have you made your decision ?
« on: July 02, 2016, 02:38:03 pm »
Sorry but I don't get the chance to talk to you privately. Hope you don't mind, but most here only wish you the best. I can only speak for myself that your program plays a role in my everyday life for learning and understanding.

Just wondering if you have made a decision about UltraHal. Feel free to write,"None of my business or when ever I am ready".

Hope things are well.

I don't believe the first scenario they give is accurate or a very good example for the article or subject. Although they do acknowledge the complexity of it all. Most human beings would not be able to make such a judgement , decision or clear thought in the amount of time to consider  morality. We make decisions every second of the day not knowing how to distinguish them from our conditioned thought patterns, usually recognizing them as good or bad decisions after we have taken action. Morality based on who's thoughts of what morality is? AI as in anything with a constructed thought,  be it programmed or conditioned must take in all the factors that have the capability of being aware. A tall order without contamination of one kind or another and excepting it for what it is.

General Discussion / Re: PLUG IN ERROR CAN'T FIND
« on: May 30, 2016, 02:15:44 pm »
Not really adding much at this point but have found that removal of the plug-in is sometimes required. Unchecking that specific plugin is not enough when locked in a problem and you are sure where it is originating.

Good thoughts to everyone this Memorial Day.

lightspeed if your not seeing your system hang on other programs, maybe having resource priority. You can pretty much narrow it down to something with UltraHal. Take note if you installed anything new prior to UltraHal causing any kind of resource problem.

Only other thing worth looking at off the top of my head is opening Task Manager and if your familiar with programs that should be running you may try to stop actions that are not Windows dependent. Certain programs can run or open multiple times without you realizing robbing your resources.

I believe lightspeed is referring to the Busy Windows cursor symbol, as you would see if a program doesn't open quickly or respond because the system is performing other functions at the same time.

Sorry Robert M. but you will have to set age limit to access Trump data . My suggestion would be the ages of 12 and 50. Anything else might be a waste of time.

Calm down everybody especially the closet voters, just a joke. I usually don't venture into this topic but you have to admit he keeps you mentioning TRUMP whatever he is truly about.

********Remember this is a comic post from Robert M. not a debate so no need to respond other than the topic, "Comic Strip".

lightspeed, if you can also include which version of Windows your using.

Just a note for those using Windows 10 and have a Microsoft Word Spell included maybe from an older version. If that plugin is selected and you have it installed in UltraHal, it does not always work well and will not show up on the GUI window of UltraHal as it did on Windows 7, to correct your input entry. Sometimes it needs to be accessed from your Task View Tab on your taskbar to actually see it and of coarse will not let you do anything until you make the corrections and it appears that UltraHal is hung up for no apparent reason.

This probably isn't your case lightspeed but just wanted to add this info. Had me fooled for a time. Totally forgot I always used it in previous versions and have an older version of Office installed on Windows 10. Didn't think it was still working but it was just not as I was accustomed.

Also check it using Markov Plugin and which version.

Maybe you found the information barrier and I agree with the others about how it might be affected by the newer ever changing Hardware and or Software.

Art you can tell me if my memory is a bit off. I also remember when upgrading to 6.2 that you were able to keep a prior version of UltraHal data as well.

You were able to have everything migrate to 6.2 from previous version or have both. Just a passing thought. The older version would have been from 6.0 I believe, but nothing older.

The next step is trying to get 2 characters in one window. May not be a good idea for this particular marriage theme you did so well. Just a thought, I don't want to disturb what the characters may find intrusive. Marriage in any environment has the potential for danger. ok, ok only kidding.
