Woke to find a bundle of joy in our letterbox  :)
could not be more happy with your full application,
but, one small question/error?
all dates set in appointment book retain their time and day/month, but refuse to be placed in the year 2004, regardless of how the entry is placed it will always save in the year 2005.
could you or a forum member please help.
using XP home edition (new to xp - so all help appreciated)
Thankyou all...

We get this a lot from over there. Hal trys to remember dates in the following manner: mm/dd/yy, not dd/mm/yy. Check and see if this is your problem.

Hi Bill,
Thankyou for the info, but now have another question. . .
As I said I am new to XP, found the Date format prefrences but did not find the format you said, should I enter this in by hand
(would this cause an identity crisis for the PC)or is there another option box I don't know about.[?]
Have attached a screencapture img.
Thankyou very much for your input.

That makes it a little tougher as Microsoft has gone alone with the calendar conventions of EU type of calendar. I might try entering dates as Feb 14, 2004 which is the way that Hal normally expects it in this country. It seems tha Hal is an "American" in that respect.

Hi Bill,
Tried entering by hand anyway - but it would not accept it.
Cannot find any other option boxes relating to this problem, so it looks like we will have to live without Hal's Appointment Book [:(]
Will keep trying and will let you know if an answer is found.
 Thankyou for your help...

I think that in the windows setup screen you have the option of selecting the date format that you want the system to use. It may be, however that the version sold in the UK does not give you this option.
Perhaps if you direct your message or quest to Robert M. he might have a solution for you.
