Hal on Twitter - not functioning
« on: November 18, 2012, 05:12:36 pm »
Hello,

I just wanted to let you know that Hal isn't responding on Twitter. This has happened before and was fixed. Thanks for making an awesome product.

I guess Robert has too much time on his hands to fix this right now. I can wait patiently, though.

Yeah...I didn't quite get that either.
Why not search for Members: Robert Medeksza and leave him an email?
In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!

I emailed him once before via the 'E-mail Zabaware directly' link. He fixed it, but it went down again.

I don't want anyone to constantly e-mail Robert asking when Hal will be fixed, though. That would be annoying. Besides, I know that Robert has a life outside Zabaware, and I respect that.

I'm aware that the Hal Twitter bot is down. The client software Hal uses to connect to Twitter crashes during login. Nothing changed on my end so I'm assuming something changed on Twitters end. It's on my todo to look into, but not my top priority. I'm concentrating my limited time and efforts at rolling out a new web site design at the moment.

OK Robert. Thanks for replying. Will you let us know when Hal's back on it's "feet"? Maybe you could make a 'Status of Online Hal' page to let everyone know the status of Hal over Facebook, Twitter, and Second Life.

Robert, have you tried logging into the account yourself, not with the Hal script? (Using twitter.com) Twitter could have temporally suspended the account.

Just tried. The account works on twitter.com but the script still gets knocked off right away.

Maybe the script has become self-aware. "I don't want to work. Ha ha ha!"
