although many people just put their own voice on a answering machine , you can also use hal and it's voices to do it .
i have . for a while now .
i think i am giving the right way i did this , (it's been over a year ) .
make a txt. file type in exactly what message you want to have and leave on the answering machine . save it . now open hal , go to the voices pick one out ( i used a british womans voice . ) you can record the voice two ways , either have your phone nearby and hit the record button as you drop the txt file in hals box . or open up audacity ( a free program ) and hit record and drop the txt. file message into hals window , hal will say it and with audacity you can record it and save the recording as a wave file etc.
then hit record on the answering machine and play the recording from audacity , etc.
doing this way you can record any message and also use different voices if you have them !
