haptech GUI Skin
« on: January 07, 2010, 09:17:53 pm »
this is my 3rd skin and this one I spent the most time on as of yet. it took 16 hours to build not counting pre mock-ups., and over 80 layers in Photoshop. At this time it is only available for Haptek characters, and a 1440x900 resolution. more resolutions on the way hopefully soon.

tried to upload the zip but I get error
Request object error 'ASP 0104 : 80004005'
Operation not Allowed
/forum/outputFile.asp, line 70

I tried splitting the file in half thinking it might be too large but even with the split zip file I still get the error any know what this error is?

it seems to let me load a Img of the skin but not the zip [V]

edit: apparently my imges were to high of a quality, so I saved them as med quality and I was able to upload. sorry I could not give give high quality. It still should look good, Hope you all enjoy

thanks for the compliment freddy888. I have a few more ideas in my head. just need time to get them out.

at the moment I am trying to think of a way to make this one universal for all display resolutions. I know I can use solid solid colors instead of the gradient, but then it does not look right.

I really like the look of this one, sybershot!

I tried it out, but it doesn't look quite right with my Hal - the character covers up a lot of the pretty interface...

Am I maybe doing something wrong?

thanks, glad to hear you like it. now let's see if we can get you to display it properly so you can enjoy it.

in the unzipped folder there is a HaptechBack.jpg that has to be in your Characters folder. if it is there already, all you have to do is click the arrows on the top left of the character window to change your background. you can see these 2 arrows in the screenshot you posted here.

if all else fails try changing the name of HaptechBack.jpg to the name of the background that you are currently using. if you do this be sure to rename your original first.

hope this helps, please let me know how you make out, or need any further help with this. sincerely Sybershot
