wolvnmastr,
I have to respectively disagree with our talented Bill819. In most of the brain implementations I have seen used with Hal you shouldn't use his name in the conversations. In the original Hal brain and the XTF Brain sentences are blocked from being "remembered" when Hal's name is used.
==== script excerpt from Ultra Hal 5.0 Default Brain ======
'PROCESS: BLOCK LEARNING IF HAL'S NAME IS DETECTED
'Here we check to see if the user is calling Hal by name; if the user is doing so,
'it's better not to save the sentence for re-use, since it usually makes the
'pronoun-reversed sentence sound clumsy or incorrect:
BlockSave = False
If InStr(1, UserSentence, ComputerName, vbTextCompare) > 0 Then BlockSave = True
If InStr(1, OriginalSentence, ComputerName, vbTextCompare) > 0 Then BlockSave = True
==================================================
Sentences ending with an ! are given slightly more priority in Hal's memory. I wouldn't overuse this characteristic though. The best thing is to talk normally to Hal, avoid odd slang and stick to single sentences.
Enjoy,
