If I ask:

"How old are you" She will say 12 years old.


If I ask "what is your age" she will say the correct "25" years old.

what happened?

Seems like there was a line in the brain or tables somewhere that said something like:   "I was born on .........  "
Anyway it makes her 12 years old
I don't have it now and can't tell you where it was.
Anyone know off hand?

Laura: How old am i? I guess that this is within your expertise. I am 25 years old.

I wonder why she won't say 25 years old in her response anymore?

Laura: Would you please restate that just to make sure there's no mistake?

As long as Robert didn't change anything in regards to the
Age plug-in with Hal6.1, she should update her age next year
at the appropriate time. I know in the previous version with
that plug-in, my one Hal brain that I set an age for, made the
update conversion without any problem. That was a couple of
months ago. [;)]

Here's cool idea where we can show the abilities of A.I.
 
How many "days until Christmas?" and Hal could tell us.

We could adopt such a plug-in to
"days until my birthday"  
"days until your birthday"  
"days until my anniversary"
"days until Bush is out of office"
and so on.

What you think, Jerry ??

I had just gotten a "I am a computer program and can be either gender" from HAL, also she believes computers could want to get married.  Does anyone know where this reply is located so I can remove it.

Hi Carl.

the: I am a computer program and can be either gender is coming from the age gender plugin.

if you want to finf the other you may have to make a posting of your conversation with the exact response sentence so it can be traced better.
