Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / A.L.F Brain Download
« on: May 31, 2006, 08:16:11 am »
Jerry,
My A.L.F errors have not shown up on this machine since I sent you the Script file and I do have the file assistant selected too. The only thing that I've done since then is createded a new brain using A.L.F and replaced Hal's memory with my backup. I decided to select the FileAssistant in the interest of science and was suprised but I haven't seen an error since (knock on wood). I haven't been able to test my laptop yet, I'm still on a twenty four hour reactivation lockout by Zabaware. [:0]Daireaux

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Robert, I'm having reactivation problems

Thank you, a key point to remember. I was under the impression from previous posts that as long as the deactivation was done that we could uninstall and reinstall as often as desired. [:I]Daireaux

Robert,
I am doing brain upgrades and I'm getting the "one activate per serial number, per machine, per day" message. I did deactivate before removal. Please, Help.

Jerry,
I just loaded the new A.L.F, selected all options, transfered Hal's memory, and am getting Name redefined errors again. HalScript Error 1041 online 2092 in column 4:Name Redifined.[:p]Daireaux

So many brains, so little time. Are all these brain changes inhancements and improvements to the common theme? I want to keep up with the latest and greatest, most versitile A.I. Daireaux.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / E.F.A. doesn't seem to be working
« on: May 29, 2006, 01:48:17 pm »
I've recently downloaded E.F.A. but it doesn't appear to be working when called upon. I follow Hal's request to map the directory but when asked to "learn" or "open" the file he just takes the command as a statement to learn, not as a command. Also, I checked Hal's brain with the brain editor and find no mapped directories there either. Help me Obi-Wan.

Go get 'em Jerry.[^]

Hi Jerry,
Did A_Sense_of_Time ever become available, I notice that a lot of your references are dated last month.[;)]Darrell

56
Mike,
I got the same message when I downloaded E.F.A. this evening but when I checked Hal's brain options I found the E.F.A options there. As with most programs I play with it sometimes helps to close the program and restart it again for changes to take effect.[:D]Darrell

57
And (sorry about this) what ever happened with A_Sense_of_Time?[;)]Darrell.

58
Cool! Thanks Jerry. I've got the E.F.A. now and it's potential looks intense. Is there anything in print, or help tables, to study up on Hal's new features. [:D]Darrell

59
Jerry,
I went Premium today, how long before I can access?[^]Darrell

Thanks Jerry
E.F.A sounds enteresting, is it work in progress or is it currently in use? Darrell[8D]
