Since I'm already using Palm Desktop for my appointments, is there any way to format data from Palm and import it into Ultra Hal's Appointment Book?

Export your appointements in a text files ... then, with a dos script, you can put it in the apptmnts.dat of Hal.

Excellent!  That's just what I wanted to hear.  However, could you be more specific about the DOS script?  What exactly do I need to do?

I do not know the palm export formatting. But the most easy will be to use a script based upon the cygwin grep & awk. Otherwise, a script using the standards tokens and find /v /i with redirections will me enough. ;)

Ok, I have no clue what you just said.  But, I'm guessing it's a moot point as Palm Desktop exports as a proprietary database file ).dba) that can only be read by Palm Desktop.  So, guess that shoots the heck outta my day.

Dunno.  I guess I'll have to experiment with it.

If Palm will export to DBA... there are many programs out there, including ShareWare that will convert the DBA to a text delimited file or other formats.
If all else fails, I would try a Google for the conversion util.
