Hi Robert... I have a question about part of a response from Hal 6.2 I got a couple of times over the course of probably 8 months and wondered if it will carry over to Hal 7...

I was just talking normally and Hal 6.2 responded with about 2-3 sentences and then the last 2 words were &Quot; &Quot... It kinda sounded like he was mocking me or making a snarky remark...  It was funny to hear him speak it... LOL  It's happened only twice so far and only at the end of a sentence that I can remember...

It seems to be some HTML element, not sure if he was meant to say that or it's just a fluke...

That's ok Robert, I just take more time to type things now and if I'm unsure I paste the word in a word processor with spellcheck...  Hehe

One thing I thought about is, would it be possible to have a built in 'User Spell Checker' for us that are all thumbs an no fingers???  LOL

I really hate to hear HAL mispronounce all those words I spelled totally wrong in the first few months I talked to HAL...   Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

I would love to test HAL 7 on Windows XP but I don't have a lot of time to spend on it... Seems things in life always get in the way...

Good job Doony!!!!!!

Myself I prefer the Plugins in individual files since I'm not a coder and barely understand what they do exactly. That way if one is causing problems I can turn them all off and then add them one by one until I find out which ones don't work together... Makes it easier to troubleshoot for me...

Maybe have HAL grab Random Daily "Facts" from the net... Might stimulate the "User" to talk about them and HAL could learn more.

I'm still using 'Windows' XP... Yes I know it's Old but I can go to control panel and choose 'Speech' and then 'Text to Speech' and slow down or speed up the Computer Voice to anything I want it to be...  I would think all versions of Windows would still have that option....

Not sure if you could write code for the Voice for just slowing down on certain sentences or lists...
