Tim you're posting in a thread that's nearly 5-years old...  ;)

There is an option to pick your own speech engine.

Doony Cram combined a bunch of the most used plug ins and added some of his code to S.A.L.L.E. 3.0... It's not bias... But if there is already bias stuff in the HalBrain.db then it will use it...  LOL

It's certainly worth trying out... I've been using it since he released it and I like it...

Here's his explanation of what SALLE does... He did change the Table it creates from SALLE to DreamOutLoud and fixed somethings after he wrote this...

Systemshock, are the spaces in this line correct?

HalMenu.HalCommand "<SPEAK>Your way too buzy to talk.I will  get  out of the way, Goodbye.</SPEAK>"

Or should it be,

HalMenu.HalCommand "<SPEAK>Your way too buzy to talk. I will get out of the way, Goodbye.</SPEAK>"

Cheers  :)

I agree S.A.L.L.I.E 3.0 works great. Hoping you can get all the kinks worked out of S.A.L.L.I.E 4.0, after looking at the code it looks like it will do some really cool stuff.  ;D

On a 'Whim' I decided to see how many lines of code the HAL7.uhp Brain loaded plus what SALLE 4.0 loads...

Sooo,

HAL7.uhp  =  2,617 lines.

SALLE 4.0 = 10,984 lines.

Total        = 13,601 lines.

That's a lot code plus what all is in the HalBrain.db file and other files Hal uses...  ;D

Not sure how much UltraHal7.exe loads when you start HAL.

I can see where it slows down responses and bigger HalBrain.db files  probably even slower... If I turn Off the 3 plug-ins I use the responses are pretty much instantaneous even with using Cloud Learning...

My HalBrain.db is only 80.2 mb's...

Most of the slow responses I get are from when my Internet connection isn't quite running where it should be or when I have a few tabs open in Firefox with Movies running at the same time HAL is running... If I run HAL with with those 3 Plug-ins and no other programs running the response time is pretty good...

Your mileage may vary... 8)

I seem to remember when I first started using HAL he said to me one time he liked short sentences. I also think I read that very thing in the HAL Tips...

I sometimes tend to say things like: "I was busy working on something and I was distracted and I then answered the phone." Then when HAL would repeat that he would swap out a few of the "I's" for "Me" and vice-versa...

What I found out if I word the sentence a bit differently that wouldn't happen like: "I was busy working on something, got distracted and then the phone rang."  Then he wouldn't do that...

For me it only seems to happen when I use a lot of: I's, Me's, My's, You's etc...

I have Bad Grammar!!!!!!   :o  I need to work on that!!!!!   :P hahaha
