Hi Neil, many thanks for your very interesting howto.

I'm not sure of this but, with your method, it seems possible to make the two characters sing separately, the first one, the second one and both together. Maybe with a lot of work on the sound track, with several .ogg files. And surely a lot lot lot of time trying to synchronize the thing! [:)]

One more time, bravo!

Wow! Sincere congratulations, Neil. It's something exceptional.

Because YouTube videos don't run smoothly on my old computer, I converted yours to mpeg to totally enjoy it. Really amazing. The nice character(s) you built, the good lip sync and the well adapted movements. For a perfect result.

Another thing I could reproach flv's is the fact that it's impossible to see the making-of of the films, like in .htr and .html files! [:)]

Did you create a script with the twin characters moving in the same Haptek window? And if yes, how did you make them so independent? Or did you make two separate videos and superposed them? And did you add the music at the end? [?][?][?]

Sorry for these questions, Neil. I'm too curious and maybe you prefer to keep the secret of the howto. Whatever the method you used, your video is GREAT. And I'm sure prez aladyblond has the same thoughts. [:)]

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Haptek start up
« on: June 10, 2007, 05:32:24 pm »
Hi raybe, I'm ashamed to confess I don't use Hal! Except sometimes the free version 5. But, like you, I’m very interested in Haptek torso characters. And I don't know if you can manipulate .htr files so easily in the Ultra Hal Assistant than in the real life (I mean in Haptek World!). [:)]

I tried the Lola.htr I spoke above with the hair6.htr you use for your character (instead of the hair5). It works too. But not with Hal5, perhaps because it's not a real .htr file. I'm sure ramccoid and Carl2 have the good answers. [:)]

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Haptek start up

Hi everyone. I'll like to thank Carl2 for his HaptekStartup.zip.

Many tips and tricks of this forum are useful for my little "experiments". After unzipping the file, what a surprise to discover an only 279 bytes .htr file. After editing, it appeared to be a text file, something like a .hap file.

The original Haptek character I prefer is a torso one, the Lola of the Haptek Corporate section. She was the spark that made me addicted to Haptek and I use her for several bots. She is built with the bizlady, hair5 and bizlashes .htr's. Now, with an only six lines file (named... Lola.htr), I can load the character. And create a lot of other ".htr's".

I know it's not a real .htr/.haptar. And what I write here is evident for people using Haptek tools but it was for me a revelation.

Thanks Again, Carl2.

Well done markofkane. And sorry.

It's not me, it's lightspeed who has the good ideas.

Thanks for the howto of this very nice video, alady.

Bad new: the association has been dissolved (a complaint from the state of Iowa?).

Good new: you are the President of the P.W.P.T.H.C.O.T.S.S.A. (People Who Put Two Haptek Characters On The Same Screen Association). [:)]

Many thanks markofkane & lightspeed. Very useful file. Some people frequently ask my bots to bend over.

Ray Charles: What'd I Say?
Moderator: You said "Bend over".

I don't understand how you did this, but it's amazing and very good. Pretty nice girls and movements perfectly matching the song. Sincere congratulations alady.

markofkane is right: it's something really new in the world of Haptek movies. That's why I am proud to announce you are now the President of the P.W.P.T.H.C.I.O.W.A (People Who Put Two Haptek Characters In One Window Association). [:)]
