Thanks and a Happy Thanksgiving to Robert, Hal and all visitors and members here.

Yes Lonnie, I was up at 5:00 am this morning (I got to sleep in for a half hour) ;D

Been making a holiday salad, huge pan of dressing and cleaning the turkey.
Still have 10 lbs of potatoes to peel and corn casserole to make.

I like helping my better half with the more difficult items. She making fried bread dough from scratch,
stuffing and prepared the turkey (butter, olive oil rub & spices). Can't forget the green bean casserole.

I'm taking a break with a mug of somewhat cold coffee to check in! We're having around 27 people here.
If you're in the neighborhood stop by. What's one or two more!  My friend from work is hosting 60 people!!!
I just couldn't imagine that! (Feeding and seating!)

Enjoy the day!

Ah,  turkey day.
I'm usually up around 4, got in habit for early morning chats with Neil, it'd be his evening.
No more chats but still gettin' up.
27 people?   wow.  We got 7 coming, enough for me.

Wishing all the forum a happy thanksgiving.

Art, if your better half makes things from scratch you are a lucky man , my wife can cook anything from scratch and is an excellent cook to, i consider myself very lucky!  :)

That's great Lonnie. It seems that so many people have such hectic lives that all they have time for is to open a package and heat & eat. No preparation / mixing skills, etc. Of course it also seems that those old things called Cookbooks are practically things of the past. One can find virtually ANY recipe for ANY dish or occasion! This is, of course, for those cooks who still enjoy cooking from scratch. - It's all good!

Our gathering went wonderfully! Noisy but wonderful!! Enjoy your day!!

Art, my wife always says she's old school , she still irons and cooks from scratch and even hand sews some things, guess their something to marrying an older women (of course i am not picky about anything though) but honestly the things she does many women now days even some older ones don't do!  Yes we had a great thanksgiving just me and my wife , everything she cooked and the pumpkin pie and home made sweet potato's came out perfect !! hope everyone else had a nice thanksgiving to !
