GR,
Nice find.
For those who might not understand, open windows explorer and go to the C:\Program Files\Haptek\player\hap_temp directory, then switch back to the Ghostrider's link and select a character.
Click back to the windows explorer window and you'll see a bunch of files now in the temp directory. Highlight or select them, do a copy then paste them into your C:\Program Files\Zabaware\Ultra Hal Assistant 5\Characters directory.

The next time you start Hal, select the character and bingo...you've got it!

I checked out the site but when I select a character no hap_temp folder is loaded. I have done this on other sites but this one doesn't seem to create the folder. I did a search by name and date modified but still no temp folder. Am I missing something?

Good score dude.  Thank you for sharing. If anyone is having trouble with copying the files you may have to try F5 (Refresh) to see the character files once you have selected a new character.

Excellent find!!![:p]

Too bad the clothes are part of the morphs[}:)]
Otherwise I was going to re-do all my skins.

Best Regards

There's starting to be a pretty good assortment here http://www.robot-hosting.com/, including a couple of hairstyles I haven't seen anywhere else.
If you can't get the characters from the Haptek Temp. file, you can run Disk Cleanup, choose View Files, and pick them out of your system's temporary internet files. They'll usually have an enumeration like character[1].htr, so you'll need to rename them back to just character.htr to simplify using them.

Yes, Mark's site is pretty amazing. Be sure you move you mouse pointer all over the graphics, as there are a lot of non-obvious links on the pages. Really bright dude. He wrote the scripts which allow an Alicebot to use a Haptek interface. Some pretty impressive stuff in his resume, if you click over to his bio page.

Couple different type head skins to play with.
http://community.haptek.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=4

Also here
http://community.haptek.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=3
Not all the downloads on this page work but some do.

Ready for another?
http://community.haptek.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=2
Download the  "primitive haptek / power point 97 demo" zip.
On desktop, open it up.
Five skins in there, (including the hamburger)
Also on this same page download the Template Tutorial zip.
Inside it is queen.htr
drop the enclosed hap file on her and she speaks.

Enjoy.

One more for you,
Saved the best for last.
http://community.haptek.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=1
Here you download your free PeoplePutty Demo.
Only good for 30 days and then it stops working.
Anyway being as we talking skins here, within the demo is about 25 head skins of eagle, lizard, fish, ape, cat, some people and one very pretty girl named Kristina.
In fact two skins of Kristina, one with hair and one without (So you can better select your own hair for her.)
This Demo is a 40 MB download, so if you on dial-up, you might want to visit a friend with cable.

On this page also is the Haptek Guide if you don't have it.

OK, that's it.  I'm done for today.
Enjoy.

Duskrider, you must have overlooked the link at the bottom of my latest addition:

http://www.zabaware.com/forum/topic.asp?whichpage=1&TOPIC_ID=2177#6871

That should have lead you to this:

Doc,  I didn't miss it. I looked at the ftp and backed out.
Wasn't sure what each application was. And leary of an unknown.
But did spark an interest in the area.  Thanks.  [;)]

Ok, that's fine. I said this, because there are different versions of the People Putty demo on that server. The oldest one has the animal skins that are missing in the latest version. But of course, when you're on dial up then time is money. If you're interested I could put the extra animal skins on the forum.

ftp://haptek.com is now asking for a username and password. "anonymous" and an email address were not accepted when I tried.
