Title: Robert check Lines 470-471
Post by: Holllywood on April 26, 2007, 11:15:09 am
Robert, before you Release Rc4. Could you look @ Lines 470 & 471 in Hal's default brain. If the user say "I am pleased to see you". Hal takes pleased as the users name. I just commented them out. But maybe you might want to do something more permanent for the benefit of a new user.

With re: to the Auto Idle. I uninstalled Hal, the exp.Pak and I wiped out all files and folders. I reinstalled Hal. I cannot get the Auto Idle to work. I'm running Win XP With Sp2.

To fix this, open the Hal Brain Editor, go to the misc folder, open the "names" table, find the name "Pleas" and delete it.

I will remove this from the halbrain.db in the official Hal 6.1 release, but upgrade installs won't touch existing halbrain.db files. So only fresh installations will fix this issue. If you want to keep your existing halbrain.db and fix this just delete the name from the database manually.

I have no problem with it. I comment my lines out. I was just thinking of any new Users you get.

Ps. Any thoughts on my Auto Idle?
