Ultra Hal 7.0 / "Learn From a Text File"

Hi, i just try to get the Hal to learn from huge texts. But it does not! 
I tried, for example, running a lot of texts about Paul (in the bible) and then Hal did not know ANYTHING about Paul!?
1. How can i very that Hal learned anything at all?
2. What is the most effective use of learning texts? Making a new brain?
Please tell me whats wrong and how to proper learn by reading texts.
