Yes, I have blender, but I am still learning.  I haven't used it for ages, but they've just (within the last week) released a new version, so I'm going to be having another look.  By first looks there are a lot of new features that make things easier to use.

With blender you will find that there are countless plugins, which also need a lot of getting used to, but it's all worth it.

The best tip i have is don't be put off or scared by the interface!

There are controls and panels hidden in every nook and cranny but it is a powerful piece of software, and it is quick at rendering too.

My best advice to be starting with is to download some of the tutorials that are available.  There is no end of advice and the blender community has grown and grown on the past few years with sites in most countries.  Just jump in and take a look I think is the best route!

Thanks freddy,

Managed to get myself version 2.27 with manuals and resource pack  but not had time to install it yet...just way too many other non important things to do lol.

It cant be any more compliocated than any similar program  is that you have never used before I suppose...just got to experimant with it eh?

Also waiting for my copy of 3DMax to arrive [8D] so when that comes I'll have plenty of software to play with and waste my time on lol.

That's right - experimentation is the best way to learn most things I think.

Btw,3dMax objects can be converted to work in the Haptek player too...

Fine, you might also be interested to know that there is a 'MakeHuman' plugin available for Blender that starts you off with the basic 3D model of a human form.  I only just found this so I'll be playing with it over the next week or so.

Add to this the plugins that can make any objects walk and you'll see theres a lot of possiblities with Blender too.
