Hal - Bug with appointments
« on: March 30, 2003, 11:31:49 pm »
I told a fresh installed first time use Hal:

"I have a chemistry quiz on April 2, 2003 at noon."

or

"I have a chemistry quiz on April 2, 2003 at 12:00pm."

And no matter what, it keeps saying that it's at 12:00am.

Any solutions to this?

Thank you,
CokoBorg

This is a known bug that will be fixed in Ultra Hal Assistant 5.0.

This bug only occurs though, if it is the first entry in the appointment book data file. If you have other entries in the appointment book, it should work ok. For example if you first say "I have an appointment in 2 days at 1:00 pm" and then say "I have a chemistry quiz on April 2, 2003 at noon." it will work.

This is the only current workaround that I know of. I appologize for the bug, it will be fixed in Hal 5.0.

Thank you very much, however that didn't work.

tjchan: Yes they do.  Please record the following.  I have a test appointment tomorrow at 12:00pm.
DejaBorg: Yes, all is well at the moment.    The following morning some decisions can't be reversed.  you have a test appointment on Tuesday, April 01, 2003 at 12:00 am . I'll Remind you when this time is near.

tjchan: I also have a Chemistry Quiz on Wednesday at noon.
DejaBorg: You also have a chemistry quiz on Wednesday, April 02, 2003 at 12:00 am . I'll Remind you when this time is near.

BTW, is there any way to correct Hal's grammer from what she has learned?

Just curious.

Thanks again!
