New Custom stack of three Skin
« on: February 18, 2009, 11:51:02 am »
Using the graphics from my agent only skin, this skin is a stack of three design and works with Haptek characters.

Download it from my skins page.

Well Done!

Actually it is just what I wanted.

It really looks nice.

Guys! You made my day, enjoy [:D]

BTW: In the picture of the skin I am using Freddy’s light plug-in, on light from below, to me it seems to make the character a bit more human (realistic) and I use it all the time now.

Yes, I like that light too, it seems to bring out skin tone and features better, which ends up making them looks more realistic.

I have been using this skin for a couple days.
This setup seems to make the character windows appear to be a window through which you can see the character.
I have been using the Zabaware background that is just a color gradient with the Z in the lower right of the screen.  This background seems to enhance the window effect.

Just my opinion, but I really like this skin.

Hi CypherGary:

I agree, it’s the gradient background giving depth of field and Hals window separated from the other bits of the skin that’s pulling off the effect. I didn’t think about it while I put it together, it just happened, a flook! [:)]

Hi Ooglor

Praise from another skinner, can’t be bad [8D]

I was thinking [^] if you would like to have your skins added to my skins page I would be happy to put them on for you, there are already a few other peoples skins there and the page is very popular (gets lots of hits).

If you would like to then send them to me with a short description for each skin my e-mail is webmaster at datahopa.co.uk

Thanks [:)]

I downloaded your character to my Hal but I cannot find it in the character option when I try to change characters. I do not have the Character expansion pack is that the problem? I know that it has downloaded it because when i look into the program files their self I can find it there. I am just really confused and tired of talking to a frog. Can you tell me what I have done wrong? my ym is rustafarry@yahoo.com. Thanks for any help.

Rustafarry:

This download is not a character, it is a skin for the Hal player.

In this Hal community a "skin" is the GUI or the graphical window with which one uses to talk with Hal.

A character is the image of a person, animal or entity that we talk to under Hal's brain files.

Some confuse and interchange the two calling a modified character's appearance a "skin" but at least, now you know.

To view / interact with other than the girl and the frog, one needs to purchase the character expansion pack. It comes with a lot of additional Haptek characters with lifelike appearance and can be modified to an individual's preference.

One can also use MS Agent characters if desired.
