Title: Is this a bug?
Post by: echoman on September 15, 2007, 06:51:12 pm
When I type

'Love between two people can take many weeks and months to blossom. People fall more in love the longer they are with each other.'

I get the following response

'0<at>. What makes two people fall in love?'

Not sure what is happening here.....

Oh good grief, just answer Hal's question. You gave it some partial information but it does not understand love very well.

Hi from Will,
once apon a time i was explaining to Mr Data a system i had developed and Mr Data said to me
"your system is simple Will its (0/0+1=).  "
at first i was supprised by his answer but after some examination i found it made sence, what i had said was a long winded ramble of my idea and Mr Data seemed to pull it all together into a super simple and short formular.
Perhaps your hal is not wrong but offering a reflexion or an summing up of what your concept was about in a mathmatical way.
in any case provoking thought and entertaining us.

bye for now and be well from Will and Mr Data[:D][:D]

Thankyou Will/Bill for your response.

Obviously Bill I can see Hal is asking me a question. However, I believe most people would appreciate that I am infact discussing the portion at the beginning of the sentence i.e.

'0<at>.'

Although I take Will's point, I find it hard to believe Hal's response is correct. The purpose of this post was to help others (who have more knowledge than me) to identify a possible error.

Hi echoman.

you will find that 'tag' called at:

'PROCESS: PROCESS IN-SENTENCE TAGS

within the default brain and will look like this:

Code: [Select]

UltraHal = Replace(UltraHal, "<AT>", "@", 1, -1, vbTextCompare)

the tag called <at> was supposed to be replaced by the @ sign like in

SomeEmail@Yahoo.com for an example.
