AIM Bot run time error 5
« on: September 04, 2007, 11:18:05 am »
Has anyone been getting a lot of run time errors with their AIM bots.

'Run Time error 5'

it seems to be getting more numerous, I have the same problem on three different operating systems, so it must be a problem with the AIM server and or the AIM bot programming itself, my huntch is it's a problem with the server.

Didn't they change something in the AIM service a year or more ago ?
I remember that everyone's AIM bots stopped working because of this change.

I hope so too.  By the way, have you got a regular sized banner for your main page at http://www.artificialintel.org/ ?

It's just that I am updating the links page over on AiDreams and I need a banner for you - the main one you use is too large.

Most of them are 468 x 60 pixels, so if you can get close to that then it would be great.  It's mainly the width that needs keeping to that size, it doesn't matter if it's a bit taller.  Thanks [:)]

Runtime errors '5' and '62' were fixed for both AIM bot and HAL6 Assistant.

to fix these runtime errors.

1. un-install HAL assistant 6.

2. delete remaining Zabaware folder after uninstall.

3. clean and repair registry thoroughly after deleting the Zabaware folder.

4. reboot system.

5. reinstall Ultra Hal Assistant 6

this solution worked for HAL on my windows vista and all runtime errors were fixed.

make sure that you back up any plugins before using the above solution.
