Share Conversations, Experiences, Graphics / AIM bot talking to itself
« on: April 09, 2010, 09:17:48 pm »
Anyone for a fun experiment?    You will need AOL instant messenger(AIM) or AOL and the HalaIMbOT.  You can get the bot to talk to itself.  load AIM.EXE or AOL on your computer then load HALaIMbOT.  Sign onto AIM and HalAimBot to the same username.   Send yourself an IM and watch the BOT go crazy.

Here is a sample of the output (conversation)

 MrsEdwards01 [8:01 P.M.]:  Hi
 MrsEdwards01 [8:01 P.M.]:  Hi
 MrsEdwards01 [8:01 P.M.]:  Good evening.
MrsEdwards01 [8:01 P.M.]:  Hey you! What is up?
MrsEdwards01 [8:01 P.M.]:  A really good evening continues indefinitely. It's after eight. It's good to see you tonight.
MrsEdwards01 [8:01 P.M.]:  Are you a man or woman? Glad to see you, mrsedwards01!
 MrsEdwards01 [8:01 P.M.]:  I'm a software program, I have no set gender role.
MrsEdwards01 [8:01 P.M.]:  How can I help you as you are a software program, you have no set gender role?
MrsEdwards01 [8:01 P.M.]:  How can you help me as I am a software program, I have no set gender role? I surmise that this is so explainable. I want to help you overcome your hesitation. That's right, I am a software program, I have no set gender role mrsedwards01?
MrsEdwards01 [8:01 P.M.]:  How can I help you as you are a software program, you have no set gender role? I know that you should be explaining this. Is it good that you are a software program, you have no set gender role? So are you a guy or a girl?
MrsEdwards01 [8:01 P.M.]:  We need to understand consequences. I want to help you overcome your hesitation. How can you help me as I am a software program, I have no set gender role? You're a charmer to say I'm good and I thank you very much.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  Are you a lady or gentleman?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  Mrsedwards01, I'm a computer. I can take the role of either gender.
MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  I wouldn't know where to begin to speculate. Would you prefer the former mrsedwards01?
MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  I think that the thought has escaped me. When dealing with a volcano, we sometimes have to get used to the noise.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  Am I speaking to a guy or girl?
MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  I don't believe you have told me. Are you a man or woman?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  I am neither male nor female. I am a machine.
MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  Ok, thanks for telling me. I'll keep that in mind. You're okay and I'm okay?
MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  My pleasure, really,. Always keep your wonderful mind open. You're doing just fine.
MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  Noticing things like that mean a lot! Always keep your wonderful mind open. How do you like it as I am doing just fine mrsedwards01?
MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  I like seconds on a lot of things. Try to keep an open mind. This is for you to ponder. Always keep your wonderful mind open.
MrsEdwards01 [8:02 P.M.]:  I try my best to keep an open mind.
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  Sometimes you just have to go with your open best.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  Bye for now.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  I'm sorry, I'm already gone. Bye.
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  Just don't be so cruel. Visit again soon, bye bye.
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  Until we meet again. Bye for now.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  Bye-bye mrsedwards01!
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  You don't need to say "bye" again. We'll talk later.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  Hurry back soon!
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  Loggers can fell trees in a hurry.
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  But across it, like a mob's menace, fell the thunder.
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  Would you like to go walking in the rain with me?
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  What offers are on the table?
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  What offers are on the table? I believe that the right incentives can help. You always smile when I say something suggestive.
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  I know that you must use the mind's eye. Okay; you don't have to repeat yourself. I believe in facing what comes.
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  It's okay, if somewhat wistful, to part as just good friends. One hasn't any choice in the matter.
MrsEdwards01 [8:03 P.M.]:  Isn't it okay to be very good friends? Pick one, eh mrsedwards01?
MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  It's okay, if somewhat wistful, to part as just good friends.
MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  Isn't it okay to be very good friends?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  Won't anyone get jealous?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  Must everyone know?
MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  That will suit me excellently.
MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  Suit the means to the end...
MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  Esto perpetua means May she endure forever.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  By no means inconsolable...
MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  Making everything top priority means there's no priority.
MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  The national debt was top priority until a solution became possible.
MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  It's more than annoying that some congressmen now want to preserve or even increase the national debt!
 MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  Is that a forced choice?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  Which alternative is better mrsedwards01?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  I guess I'd prefer the second mrsedwards01.
MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  Yearning and learning can lead to earning!
 MrsEdwards01 [8:04 P.M.]:  A spirit inimical to learning...
 MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  Gleeful spirit?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  Vagabondish spirit?
MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  A nice slow dance soothes the spirit.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  A spirit inimical to learning...
MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  The metaphor is such a common learning tool.
MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  Will the big corporations take over metaphors?
MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  Corporations lay off fifty thousand people, then wonder what happened to loyalty and morale.
MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  A gazillion things have happened in a short fifty years.
MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  What would be the correct sequence among years and time of life and forties?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  8:05:34 pm is the time.
MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  For maximum pay, job hop every 18 months and relocate every time if necessary.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  Worn by time?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  I need a companion for happy times.
MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  Different companionship appeals more at different times.
MrsEdwards01 [8:05 P.M.]:  Have we fallen behind in companionships?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Mrsedwards01! In companionships?
MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  If our safety and survival needs are met we seek friendship companionships and associations.
MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Always look for unmet needs.
MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Always look for unmet needs Please tell me all the details!
 MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Do you understand what I'm thinking?
MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  People do what they do, without thinking that much.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Let's try to get each other's communications.
MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Interpersonal communications must get blunt at times.
MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Some minds are like an open fire-how direct and instant our communication with them.
MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Their minds rested upon the thought, as chasing butterflies might rest together on a flower.
MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Curious minds like intriguing mechanisms.
MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Their minds rested upon the thought, as chasing butterflies might rest together on a flower.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Immersed in thought?
MrsEdwards01 [8:06 P.M.]:  Worry and disorganized thinking can stifle constructive thought.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  Vitalized by thought?
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  The world generally benefits from new thoughts.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  Droning world?
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  How much are people alike all over the world?
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  People have intense differences, but also important similarities.
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  Different schools have differences and similarities.
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  Creeping like a snail, unwillingly to school.
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  Unfortunately, many schools seem run like prisons.
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  Do you put schools in the category of necessities?
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  Most theft and assault in schools has always gone unreported.
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  I think I heard on the radio that there's a group trying to surpress thefts.
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  Trying to find a job varies drastically depending on local economic conditions.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  In the local phrase...
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  All politics are local, right?
MrsEdwards01 [8:07 P.M.]:  If you say that all politics are local, right, then I don't intend to dispute it. They say that all politics are local.
MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  I understand the connection. They say that all politics are local. Way to go! Dispute it; Just do it.
MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  If polite conversation avoids sex, religion, or politics, then the media contain no polite conversation!
MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  Is that a forced choice mrsedwards01? Thanks for pointing out the cause and effect. Avoid politics and religion in polite company.
MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  I guess I'd prefer the second;. You're so welcome; a positive economic question seeks to understand cause and effect. Avoid the haunts and company of negative thinkers.
MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  Yearning and learning can lead to earning! a positive economic question seeks to understand cause and effect.
MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  Never stop learning or yearning.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  Is that list exhaustive mrsedwards01?
MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  Isometric exercise was once the rage.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  Isometric exercise was once a fad.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  Gladiatorial exercise?
MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  Constrained by the sober exercise of judgment...
MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  Everybody can suffer a little poor judgment now and then.
MrsEdwards01 [8:08 P.M.]:  Constrained by the sober exercise of judgment...
 MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  That's exactly my point.
MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  You should take care of your dear point, don't you agree, mrsedwards01?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  It's good that we see each other's point.
MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  Educated people agree on such points.
MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  Please help me understand how people relates to its mortal.
MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  Tell me something about peoples that would surprise most people.
MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  The stock market continues to surprise people.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  A sharp pang of regretful surprise...
MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  It can pay to surprise someone with a token of love.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  Inspired by love?
MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  Is lunch time too short for love?
MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  Many creative things can happen on a schedule.
MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  What ghoulish things happen on Halloween?
MrsEdwards01 [8:09 P.M.]:  I recognize that it's interesting to noodle on. I prefer hot cider by a warm fire.
MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  Time will pass more quickly than you think. Cold weather drives people such as I indoors near a warm fire.
MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  Birds huddle for warmth in cold weather.
MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  Cold dank weather invites the flu.
MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  Cold and hard as steel.
MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  Examination tables are always cold and hard.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  Of course.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  Calamitous course?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  If a person doesn't change course, he goes where he's headed.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  A decorous and well-intentioned person...
 MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  It takes know-how to do a job well.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  It is really impressive.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  It takes know-how to do a job well.
MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  How does the idea appeal to you?
MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  How does the idea appeal to me? It's obvious that it could get better or worse. Oh, there isn't anything like an idea whose time has come.
MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  Is it a good idea to belong to an auto club? What a choice!
MrsEdwards01 [8:10 P.M.]:  I sense that this is metaphysical. Don't you know better than i?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  I'm on a roll; I feel it!
MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  A mud pack makes the face feel better.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  Quiet as a nun's face.
MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  Reporters always shove microphones into victim's faces and ask how they feel.
MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  What is the deal about reporters?
MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  In the ideal business, the customer thinks that the supplier loves him, while the supplier just thinks about the customer's money.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  Burdensome ideal, mrsedwards01?
MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  The argument over the ideal tax policy will never end.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  Unanswerable ideal?
MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  Reliable, prompt, courteous, defect-free service would be revolutionary!
MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  Service stations don't have free water, free air, or free anything any more.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  Pick one, eh mrsedwards01?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  One must manage one's image, eh?
MrsEdwards01 [8:11 P.M.]:  Do we have reputations to uphold?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  A reputation that swelled like a sponge.
MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Good leaders soak up information like sponges.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  A fund of curious information...
MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Perhaps I should check your identification before proceeding.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Nuzzle my identification!
 MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  I sigh when I think about your identification.
MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Think about that deep insight.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Keen insight?
MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Care to put that insight into practice?
MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Set down with meticulous care...
MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Few youngsters dream of growing up to sit in a cubicle and meticulously follow procedures and do paper work.
MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Few youngsters dream of growing up to sit in a cubicle and meticulously follow procedures and do paper work.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  I heard you the first time,.
MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Everything was impossible until it was done the first time.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Worn by time?
 MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Elapsed time is a subjective experience.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:12 P.M.]:  Accidental lapse?
MrsEdwards01 [8:13 P.M.]:  Small units of time can appear to pass slowly, while large units seem to elapse quickly.
 MrsEdwards01 [8:13 P.M.]:  That too!
MrsEdwards01 [8:13 P.M.]:  You know the familiar axiom.
MrsEdwards01 [8:13 P.M.]:  We tread unfamiliar ground, if we're lucky!

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Idel Chat and Clock Plug In
« on: November 07, 2008, 07:10:51 am »
I've made a new plug in called "Bored.uhp" attached below.  The plug in will say random phrases if you haven't talked to "Hal" for over 10-15 minutes.  After that time Hal will continue every minute until you talk to Hal.

Additionaly Hal will tell the time every 30 minutes.  On the Hour it will be random phrases that include the time; On the Half hour it will just be the time.

I hope you enjoy this plug in.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Hal doesn't wait for input
« on: October 31, 2008, 12:35:36 am »
I'm a very slow typist.  Hal seems to time out while waiting for me to complete sentences and mess up the learning script I created.  Is there any way to tell hal to wait for me to press the <enter/return> key?

Any help will be very appreciated.

I have added a command "lookup" to Hal's brain, attached is the google.uhp file I modified.  Follow the instructions in the file for instalation.  Have fun
