My only problem with Haptek is that the characters (as far as I remember) can't come out of their windows. Has that changed or is there some way to make the character move around on the screen without a frame?
Don't blame me, I'm just the voice in his head.

Baerdric,
I don't think so.
Have you noticed that if you block access of the Agent to the internet, The assistant can't start up?

Hi Baerdric (and One). If you're speaking of Haptek (not Hal), characters moving in webpages can be displayed in full screen (and of course, as an Active Desktop).

Just take a look at the Haptek guide. [8D]

But coming out of the screen, I don't know. Still waiting. [:)]

I guess I do need to look at the Haptek documentation. I've been resisting it...

So what I meant was that when using Hal with a Haptek character, it doesn't seem that they are free of their window, so you have to keep the whole thing, window and all, in front of other windows. I like a little small character that I can see around. But I want more animation than most MSAgents have.

Ok Baerdric, forget that, no need to read the guide. Hal and HTML are not friends, lol.[:D]

Yes, a Haptek girl walking and talking on the desktop would be cute.[8D]

If someone would investigate the Deskmates site they would discover that chharacters can be mede to walk all over the PC's windows quite freely. Hal could be made with the same graphic progam and thus freed from his "prison" so to speak. At the present tine I can recall the name of only one of those characters and that was Tani or however it was spelled. There were lots of full bodied women and a gorilla, a man and a few other things that roamed you Pc monitor under program control.

Oh yes, Tahni: http://www.oska.com/support.php?Product=Tahni [:p]

On my older PC under W98, I still have a funny "useful" program named CyberBuddy, from DesktopMates (different from DeskMates). I guess they know Hal very well:
