Original Character Hairstyles

I had attempted to edit the hairblack.hap and the hairbrown.hap files to get the original hairstyle for the Jessica character. The original color was black right? It seems many of the hairstyles of the characters have been changed.
I do not have people putty. I am only editing (or will edit once I get the program running again) "*.hap" files in the character folder. The correct hairstyle appears to be in the Bodyskins folder, Haptek Player file "hair7.htr", but I do not know the syntax to make it so.
Does anyone have any solutions?

I thought I'd comment so you know people reading your post.
I use one character with one hair and have no solutions.
I still have Jessica.  Keep her locked in back closet.  Her hair black and is hair7.htr.
You want I put her on Savefile for download ?

you need the .map file I think for the style. I am not sure.

Hey Dusk, I would like that very much. I have the "htr" well, an "htr" but do no know the syntax to make the change. You were smart to save the original. If  you can send it please do. You can post it here or send it to Ponnfar@yahoo.com.
