General Discussion / Haptek - Putty Problem

I need to know if anyone else here besides myself and JackGephart
are having trouble with their PeoplePutty installations or license
activations for it? [?] Please let us know, it would really be
appreciated. I think that haptek may be trying to shutdown some
of us who make and give away character heads. [:0] Thanks.

Markofkane, ~aladyblond, nige, caangel, tedathome and
whoever else is making heads for UltraHal users.

They have already disabled mine and Jack's Putty installations
and deactivated the programs on our computers, and are not
allowing reactivation.

Share Conversations, Experiences, Graphics / New Tall UI Skins for Hal

I read on here the other day that some of you are looking for
tall user interface skins so that you can more easily use the
haptek fullbods with your Hal. So here is a set of 2 new tall
Hal interface skins. In addition to the download link placed here,
you will also be able to download them from my site, they will
be posted on the UltraHal UI Skins gallery page. Enjoy!  [;)] [:D]
If anybody would like to have this done in some other color,
just email me with your request specifying the color you want.

General Discussion / Character Creations site upgraded with new Forum

[:D] I have now included a 3D graphics & animation forum to my
Character Creations & DesignWorks Studio site. The new forum
went online late last night and is now open and I am accepting
new membership registration request's. The new forum is called
"Character Creations & Design Forum". There are categories for
posting tutorials, discussing 2D and 3D graphic design, animation,
and character and figure mesh construction, as well as a section
totally devoted to all things haptek. There is also a category for
general discussions about A.I. and chatbot technology. I have set
this up as a learning and sharing resource for graphic artist's doing
avatar animation and character construction using Poser, Cinema,
Maya, Blender and whatever other 3D application they may be
working with. If you would like to take a look around the new forum
and maybe do the registration thing, you can either get to it through
the main Directory at Character Creations & DesignWorks Studio at -

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Hal quit working again

This is getting ridiculous.  I just got Hal reinstalled
5 weeks ago with the new activation code you gave me
Robert, and when I tried to run Hal today I got a message
that "The copy protection has not been released, but the
expiration has. A recovery code is required." This was the
first time in a week that I have run Hal, last weekend I
had no problem.
The authorization request code is 14F0-737B-4E9F-2FC8

I tried using the instructions and reactivation code you
sent me on Nov.11th  but it said that this was an invalid code.
The only program I have installed since reinstalling Hal 5 weeks
ago was Poser 5 and LispWorks Personal Edition. I am working on
some of the old LEAF Project files for an AI/robotics interface.
I doubt that this would have caused Hal's activation code and
license to go Bye bye though. Is there anything you can suggest
for getting the activation code working again. [?]

The world of A.I. and chatbots has been diminshed this weekend.

I must sadly report to you all that KnyteTrypper (Richard) passed
away Saturday evening, peacefully at his home. I received the news
this morning from his niece via an email sent out to people on
his buddy list. He was a long standing figure in the world of A.I.
and chatbots, and for those of us who knew him it is a great loss.

You will be sorely missed KT. Rest in peace. [:(]

Here's a special Halloween Treat that I
and JGephart cooked up for everyone using Hal or HapPlayer.
Now you can turn your Hal into a Halloween party monster with
the Herman Monster character head or any of the other creepy
monster character heads from my site along with another little
treat that I've included in the Herman Monster zip folder - it's
a Poser "Halloween Party" monster background for use in Hal,
hapPlayer or just as a desktop wallpaper. The character & back.jpg
can be found in JGepharts gallery on my site. [:D] [}:)]

Just put the Herman.htr and the Monster background in Hals
character folder, select the Herman character in Hals control
options, select the SuperSize_Me skin and let Hal join the
Halloween fun. There's also a haed haptar for use in hapPlayer.

Due to the need for an upgrade, increased storage and extra
bandwidth, my Character Creations web site will be temporarily
out of service for a few days until my new site and web domain
are registered and set up. I am sorry for any inconvenience this
may cause for those wishing to access the character download area.

When the new site is up & running I will

General Discussion / New User Interface Skins for Ultra Hal 6.0

[?]  I would like some input and opinions from the members of this
forum as to whether or not they would consider using a new Ultra Hal
interface skin that I have designed. I am putting up this screenshot
of it, tell me your impressions of it. If there is enough positive
feedback then I will post a download link for it in the File Sharing
section of this forum. It is called "Futura 2". Thanks. [:D]
