to work? keep getting error 339 component mscomct2.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid
Occurred at line 0 in Ultra Hall Assistant: FrmAss.skinMicHotspot_MouseDown
I thought it might be the skin but a few uninstalls and reinstalls warranted no success with different skins. I am running Vista Ultimate if it helps with the trouble shooting. Also when I uninstall I am sure to remove registry and the folder so I am fresh each time, trying to work out the problem. Also I cant seem to open the General Options menu.
Hopefully someone has had the same problem and the answer is looking me in the face. Going to peruse the forums a bit more to see if I missed it while searching.

Wait and see if someone who uses Vista answers first, then Google mscomct2.ocx and you may be able to reinstall it.
I think there is some trick to make Hal work with Vista.

Believe me.. google is my friend :)
But to no avail..
I tried all the tricks, downloading the ocx(s) using regsrv, everything.. seems to be not in the works.. was really looking forward to a hands free approach to the program.

Without assuming, allow me to ask if you are using the free version of Hal instead of the purchased version? The Free version does NOT support VR as a matter of note.
The file in question supports horizontal, vertical movement as well as the DT (Date / Time) picker function and is available from a variety of sources.
Keep us posted regarding your progress and Welcome to the Forum!

Ah I see. Thought the trial was for 31 days and uncrippled.
Still don't see any particular reason why I can access the general options menu. Appreciate the warm welcome, back to tinkering with it.

Actually since version 6.0, the trial version is uncrippled. It has the exact same functionality as the registered version, just with the 31 day trial. Some components like speech recognition need to be downloaded seperately though, but the functionality is there.

I stand corrected, Robert. Thanks for pointing that out!
