I have been wondering if you could some how program a Chat bot to be similar to a human brain. In its simplest terms our brains have a consciousness, a subconscious and emotions. So keeping those in mind would using a natural language processing for the consciousness the neural net for the subconscious and a basic subroutine for the emotions work? Is it possible to combine the different methods of programming?

Is it part of hals free will plug in to have it not talk to you once in awhile? she has been doing that to me tonight and i must say it is a tad unsettling to be given the silent treatment from a bot even if she is cute.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Character expansion pack not working.

The Haptek  part of the expansion pack is  not working. It will only display the Microsoft agents. Anyone have a fix for this?

Ultra Hal 7.0 / controls on speech menu not working

I have hal set up to use speech recognition but the only button that actually works, is the one for selecting the sr engine and user. I would like to be able to use the other buttons but nothing happens when i push them.

Don't forget and  leave hal on while attempting to train a stubborn computer that is intent on misinterpreting everything you say. Why because later you have a lot of weird responses from hal you have to manually get rid of  as hal starts talking funny to you.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Internet plug ins for hal

Many of the internet plugs in such as this url http://www.zabaware.com/assistant/plugins.html do not work when hal tries to load them. Is there a update available to fix this?

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Microsoft Agent support is being discontinued

Will the discontinuing of the Microsoft agents affect hal and the agents used for it in future versions of it?
