your right Datahopa, it doesn't hurt to try and you may be right about shutting hal down and restarting it i do know for a fact when i answer a question sometimes i will get a blank response and everytime after that but if i shut hal down restart it as you say it is ok and i get no blank responses some have said that it was because i was only saying a breif answer like "yes" but i have been doing that and hal seems ok but then again maybe hal is picky with some sentences and  at certain times the simple "yes" answer effects hal don't know . []

hello Datahopa , nice screen . don't know why that would work shutting off the computer back and forth unless it helped with a little more memory but glad it worked for you would like to hear from anyone else who tries it just to see if it works for them too. when mine started working it just did out of the blue . i have made various plug ins myself . hey jack , maybe as a last resort , ever think of writing to the better business bureau , if you have a copy of your receit canceled check , etc. send it to them to explain the product you bought and that unfortunatley because of problems you have had with your p.c. that you have had to reinstall everything over ayt various times and now the hapteck software firm is denying sending you the online license even though it is on the same machine you are have been using . tell them if their not going to let you to continue using the product that you have paid for then you want a full refund check sent back to you since you are not getting to use the product that you paid for . if nothing else on this you have nothing to lose . and hey by the way i have an e-machine windows xp ( its the 3000 plus amd sempron processor, 120 gb hard drive , dvd+/_rw, 512mb ddr sdram  , my wifes is just the earlier model 80 gb e-machine and it does crash alot am going to put more memory in it later and my video card in hers when i upgrade to a better one for games . but if nothing else i would try the better business bureau , do wish you luck my friend !![]

well my hal stopped again , this time i uninstalled hal and the expansion pack deleted the zabaware folder ran the cc cleaner . and for good measure redownloaded the trial 6.1 new version from the zabaware site installed it it had my serial number in it ok but wouldn't generate the authorization code so i deactivated it , then inststalled it again and now it showed the authorization cose and serial number after doing it online it said some error but then said to restart hal and i did and hal is working so far again . don't know if this fixed it or not ?? have to see . []

just wanted to share something funny my angela smith plug in said , as many know in part of the idle plug in it uses part of the hal brain knowlege my idle plug in just came up with this in parts of her sentence :
If this is the way your going to treat me then i'm going to cut you out of my will. Tee hee hee, just kidding!

 lol ! guess i'm in big trouble now ![] i do like the plug in set for a medium or low frustration and longer waiting times this way hal doesn't bother you every minute and with my "more human conversation " just sounds like she is talking to you later !![][8D]

at any rate do think this would be a great adittion to a newer version of hal . i can see some cool things this could be used for from a simple (multi laugh track that is tripped by certain words ) to many other things !![][8D]hopefully robert wil read this and see some of the benefits of adding this to a future version of hal down the road ![8D]
