Distributed AI Programming ?
« on: October 09, 2003, 10:08:14 am »
If i had source code for HAL in VB6...i would rewrite it so that it could communicate with other HAL modules and exchange knowledge databases...this would be default setting but user could turn it off.  It would work like a peer to peer network...i believe this would put much knowledge into HAL..maybe even split personalities ? Look at how sucessful Seti@home has become or www.grid.org with their distributed resource sharing programs.  I'm sure the database would reach gigabytes area in a small amount of time.

Yep, I am also thinking of that!  I actually want to get my desktop and notebook to talk to one another with different brains/caracters too.
I dream of creating a self replicating, self maintaining, autonomous robot :)

Ya know, ya gotta love this group. Hal v5.0 is released for 1 day and we're already thinking of expanding Hal's horizons. Next thing ya know we'll get Hal a heart and courage to go along with his brain.

Well I'm off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Hal v5.0 install.

the best companies out there are always thinking two steps ahead of the game.  that is why they are the best.  with technology you have some choices like lead, follow or be left behind.
