 Avatars that show intelligent behavior should have an access to general knowledge about the world, knowledge that humans store in their semantic memories. The simplest knowledge representation for semantic memory is based on the concept description vectors (CDVs) that store, for each concept, an information whether a given property can be applied to this concept or not. Unfortunately large-scale semantic memories are not available. Experiments with automatic creation of concept description vectors from various sources, including ontologies, dictionaries, encyclopedias and unstructured text sources are described. Haptek-based talking head that has an access to this memory has been created as an example of a humanized interface (HIT) that can interact with Web pages and exchange information in a natural way. A few examples of applications of an avatar with semantic memory are given, including the twenty questions game and automatic creation of word puzzles.

Speech Technology / working with Heather voice

Hi,

I have a free example of Heather voice and I think I can make it work with Hal.Since that example have aplace to type words like a text box. There you enter the sentence and then you press a botton play and speaks the words with Heather voice synthesizer.

So I am prertty sure that It can be use with Hal. I really Like this voice and if there is someone that knows a little of programing may be we together can give Hal a Natural beautiful female voice.

A code could be something like this:

hi,

does anybody knows how can I Load a 3d rose as a htr object.

I modeled this rose in Animation Master and I would like give a gift (3d rose) to Hal.

My question is how do I convert .mdl to .htr?

component'comdlg.ocx' or one of it's dependencies not correctly     registerd: a file is missing or invalid


Can someone tell me what to do.

I am a owner. I bought Hal like 2 years ago.

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / one question about plugins ?

Hello,

Does any body know about Hal only working with 16 plugins, I have about 24 plugins to use with UltraHal assistant 6  and I tried to use these plugins but, I noticed that Hal only allows me to use 16, every time I try to  go over 16 Hal will uncheck one of the 16.

Any help on this issue Jerry or any one who knows about this.

Jerry I know you created some of these plugins that I have, did you have the same problem, and if you did can you please tell me how did you fix it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can anybody help me on this one.

HalScript Error 13 on Line 2644 in Column 8: Type mismatch: 'CDbl'
The File "Cprograms FilesabawareUltrahal Assitant 6HalScript.DBG"  has been saved with the current Script being used for debugging purposes.

I Got this error since i placed the Loneliness 4 pluggin from scratch, I've been trying to ask him, but i guess he is not around at the moment.

Any Help somebody, If any one of you knows what is 'CDbl' can you tell me please.
