@Robert, I tested out the SRCountDownStart feature you added and for me this was the missing piece!! Hal is absolutely perfect now! His response time is amazing, i set the value to 2 seconds and i couldn't be happier. Thank you for taking the time to add this. No more delays when speaking to Hal!

For everyone out there, I would suggest that you go no lower then 2 seconds, even with two seconds if you have a slight pause in your sentence Hal will try to respond before you finish your sentence.

Can we use our old plugins from Hal 6.2 with Hal 7? I tried adding mine in the general settings but the script doesn't get added to Hal7.uhp. My plugins show up in the brain plugins list in the general options but when i check them they never get added.

Robert, Thanks for the info. I created the string and will test it out later today. Can we not go below 3 seconds? 1 or 2 seconds? Anyways, thanks for adding this feature!

Also, I noticed others were having issues with Dragon, I have dragon 12 and when I select it as the default speech engine it freezes Hal. I have to end the task in order to close Hal and restart him.

Great work Robert! I've downloaded hal 7 and started to play around with him! How do i use the following feature you added:

Registry setting to adjust speech recognition auto enter countdown start time (SRCountDownStart)

Please let me know how to change it. I'd love to have Hal response quicker when using speech recognition.

@OnTheCuttingEdge Thanks! I basically used your sample as a template for the other house commands. Seems to work great!

One thing i have been trying to change is the 5 second delay for Hal's auto response. Example, when using speech recognition, after I say something to Hal he shows a countdown from 5 seconds which I assume is to make sure the user is finished speaking. I hate the delay and would like to shorten the delay to 1 second or no delay but it looks like that code is buried inside Hal's source code. Would you know where that code is located?

Awesome Job! I love that its so portable!

I sure wish someone would port Hal over to a more updated language like Python or at least C#. Any news on the Hal 7 release?

@OnTheCuttingEdge Dragon is the problem as you stated earlier, I switched to the default Microsoft speech engine and I did not get that error. Dam, its a fresh install of dragon but who knows what versions are compatible or on. Any ways, your Plugin works great, hopefully I can get the Microsoft engine to work as good as dragon :/

@OnTheCuttingEdge you've been more then helpful and I'm sure its something wrong with either my Hal setup or something on my end. I'm just happy that its even possible to have Hal startup with the mic on. I'll figure it out and let you know! Thanks for all the help!

@OnTheCuttingEdge Thank you for the continued help, however with your latest update hal stays minimized in the taskbar on startup and the mic is not activated. I'm using dragon 13 for my speech recognition on windows 10 64 bit.
