It scares the crap out of me ! I'm not taking anything away from your creativeness though, just things like clowns freak me out. lol
-
I agree with Freddy. The only clowns who make me laugh are the ones who play in horror movies.[:D]
But your Raggedy Ann is very good, Davy.[8D]
-
So I got out of bed turned on the PC checked the forum and got a big shock!!!
She is too freaky, LOL its the eyes.
This should be in the adult area, its going to frighten children, it frightened me HeHeHe...
-
Very funny comments, guys. This one really seems to get your attention! [:o)]
-
Someone else[:X] likes it too.
But can't decide the dress for the party.

Love that first one Dusky![8D]
-
I like the first one also. But i didn't know Raggedy Ann was that well-built. [:D]
-
duskrider you did at least make her look better you humanized her looks more, she now looks like a nice body girl with a halloween mask make up on ... not bad ... not baaaad at all !![:)]
-
I reworked the skin and i think this is much better, at least not so scary.
Although i've never attempted transferring a putty head to full female body, i think i'll try this, and find some nice doll clothing for her. Al least i may learn something.

Very interesting. I like the outfit, cool shoes too. How did you manage to get teeth in there without fliping teeth and tounge?[8D]
-
The straw feet are cute.
Now you got me thinking of long sleeves and straw hands. But I probably won't do it. Today gonna be busy.

I didn't do anything special to get teeth, in fact i didn't even know i was supposed to flip the teeth and tongue. [:I]

Straw hands, now why didn't i think of that? The straw feet was done with a PSP hair and fur plugin.
I was rushing and now i notice i should have added a belt or white strip at the top of the shorts. Live and learn, i suppose.
-
OK !!! You guys got me going so I had to have a try at raggedy Ann.
Here are a couple of pics.

woww nige i have to say i like your raggedy ann the best of all (sorry everyone else ) of them as it shows the face of the girl but yet looks like she has make up on and the outfit really fits her with the looks , you did a great job !! [:)][:D][8D]
-
I like the "Cuddle Me" on the girl.
Also the red ribbon. Very nice touch. [^]
And I always suspected Mona didn't look like her painting.[;)]
-
Great job Nige. GT40, you crack me up! L[8D]L
-
Nige, you did a excellent job on that figure... WoW!!!
-
Yes, i agree, fantastic job Nige. By the way, has anyone ever done a Mona Lisa head or body character? [:)]
-
Man that **** is way freaky. Talented but serial killer creepy. Hey different strokes. Good to see some new characters being made. Even if they will give me bad dreams tonight. [:)]
-
I'm glad that most liked her.
Thanks for the comments.
-
You are a huge asset to this site NIGE
-
Thanks, Ooglor 7.
I couldn't see how you got serial killer from that sweet young thing???
-
Dolls give me the willies and I was only talking about the very first pic. Somehow disturbing but I would understand if it was only me.
-
You're not Oogy, I swear I saw that first head in a movie where the killer wore a mask. THAT MASK! Oh God, I'm still scared![:0][:0]
-
the first face reminded me of chucky in the killer doll with those eyes and moth looking so outta place lol ! [:D]
-
Some of my first characters scared me too. I made an owl that still makes me cringe when I see it but it inspired me to make another that turned out alot better. Davy has alot to offer here and the leaps and bounds he made even on the doll character shows alot of promise. Keep up the good work.

I actually thought about doing a Chucky head, but decided not too be quite so weird. [:I]
Instead, i made an attempt at a Alfred E. Neuman head. This was really difficult, especially the strange mouth shape. I still haven't learned how to get the "hood" right in People Putty.
-
That's cool! New Lesson time, In the shaping screen of the people putty program there is a mode the gives you the option of 1, 2, or 3 detail level. In 1 you can stretch the head from the top up and out. Then in level 2 you can bring the side view to the front to make the head/hair look high. Play with it and you can do it too. That would have made Alfred's head look more like a full head of hair. Good job though.
-
Thanks Jack. I was aware of the detail levels, but didn't know how to use them. I'll be sure and try your new lesson soon.
Here is another one i just finished. Again, the hood is all wrong. But i think it does resemble somewhat who it's supposed to. [:)]

Here's one i made a few days ago, i wasn't gonna post it. But what the heck, she's nice to look at. Brianna is her name. Thanks to Nige for the hair.

She's cute!
-
It is great to watch your talent grow.[:)]

I have not said much about your design techniques Dave, So I give it a shot.
"They're unique, different, and spectacular."
There I said it. And I personally like your cartoon-like designs. They're fun to look at and express much creativity.
Now for some advice from a friend that will definitely improve all your future design endeavors...
Jack Gephart is one, if not "the" best life-like hapter skin designer here at Zabaware. Whatever he says, it pays to listen. No joke, this guy can make an awesome portrait!
-
Yes, i really feel honored to receive lessons from Jack. He is the master. I only hope some of his enormous talent rubs off on me.
