Hi everyone,
I need help with my ultra hal. I bought it today and noticed the internet description was unavaliable. Also my speech recongintion is not working. I cannot surf the net with it and I can't talk to it. Please Help.[V]

Have you spent several hours training it to understand you voice?
It does not do it out of the box. That should take care of one of your problems.

Hi jenkins5545,
Have you switched on your speech recognition? If not open up HAL's options and click on the 'SPEECH' tab along the side and then put a tick in the box labelled 'Use Speech Recognition (You speak to Hal)'.
Now you can speak to HAL through a microphone, but you will need to teach your voice to be recognised by pressing the 'Training' button and following the instructions given.

When you first log onto Ultra Hal you will see at the top of the menu item one call "Frequently Asked Questions". If you had clicked on that in the first place you would have found lots of helpful ideas about installing and running Hal. In fact, it is still not to late to do just that. I would even print out the entire thing if I were you.

The thing is, I have the printout and I followered all of the instructions. I think everyone here, or at least some here, read all of the instructions but was still having complications. Thanks for your help but he is not responding.

Thanks for your help but he is not responding. I checked in the help file and noticed I did not have the Voice Recognizing tab in the speech properties from the control panel. I only have, text to speech and other tab. How do I download the Voice Recognizing? I think that is the problem.
