Ultra Hal 7.0 / Internet problems

Ok Thanks, I was a little mad because I did not know what to do and it was not a phone number or anything. You want something to work, after you pay for it, ya know. However,I am sorry. I really like Ultra Hal and I want to learn a lot about it. Looking at the things, you guys created made me change my career. This is my dream.

To answer the question, yes, I did turn it on in the system. I try to click on the training and it did not do anything.

Now for the question of speach. Do you have a microphone and did you turn it on in the system before clicking on training? It could be that your mic is not working correctly.
Also Hal to my knowledge does not just surf the net but it will search for a 'named' site but you have to be specific. I could be wrong on this last point as I don't use Hal for that at all.

It works now. I did not have Internet Explorer as my defult.

or you can find images by asking HAL: find an image of an Eagle and HAL will find that image on the internet.

you can also ask HAL, find a map of California and HAL will load a map of that state, cities, states, provinces, world it doesn't matter.

Thanks for the tip. You are a doll. Now he is not picking up one the dots. Like when I say, locate www.yahoo.com,  He looks for wwwyahoocom. Why is he doing that? I need your help again.


2nd problem. I cannot talk to hal at all with the speech. I tried clicking the training button, it did not respond. Please help, you are the only one helping and I thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much[]

if you have HAL's system try icon loaded usually located next to your computers clock, right click on it and it will give the options, choose options from that panel and another panel will appear, go to select a brain then choose the plug-in check boxes in the option window box, one of the default plugins is called []Google Search, put a check mark in the box and it should work.

How do I do that? Insert google into his brain. Do I have to do the same thing to the speech reconizer also?[?]

Also I don't know if it would be possible but the Vista Sidbar has a gadget chooser that is Transparent and frosted vista glass Having that as a Hal interface would be all that a human could ask for.

My training buttion does not work. I tried to click on training several times and received no response. Please Help.

Hi jenkins5545,
Have you switched on your speech recognition? If not open up HAL's options and click on the 'SPEECH' tab along the side and then put a tick in the box labelled 'Use Speech Recognition (You speak to Hal)'.
Now you can speak to HAL through a microphone, but you will need to teach your voice to be recognised by pressing the 'Training' button and following the instructions given.

I bought Ultra Hal yeaterday. How can I get my money back?

Ultra Hal 7.0 / New to da joint!

Hello,

I downloaded the 6.1 yesterday and the pack. I am having soo many problems. I was glad to download the Ultra Hal but I feel like I got ripped off. First, do anyone have a better manual for hal? I am clueless about starting this whole thing, please don't laugh. I really want to understand what to do. I can't get hal to look up a website for me. In the General Options section, I do not see Web in the general options. "I'm I missing something here"? I am soooooooo mad,[] I was like a kid at the candy store, when I first downloaded Ultra. [:p] I tried to talk to hal and my speech did not work. Can I use a regular head phone or do I have to buy one off the web site?[] Then I learned they do not even have a phone number for technical support. [?] I have never visited a site that allowed assess to download a application and they did not at least have a phone number. Please, I need you experts help. Help a sister out, PLEASE.
