well so much for my idea you guys have your brain working overtime (lol) !! thanks for the info and link .i downloaded one file aging and it is a text file what am i suppose to do with this , its not a drag and drop into the hap player is it ?? how exactly doew this aging file work with hapteck characters ?

as i am always thinking up new things something occurred to me i think it would be cool if some how the hapteck character heads could be made to age slowly every year in another words by a certain time (age ) start by having one little light wrinkle show up maybe two years later another somewhere else not big but small light wrinkles . i know many may not like the idea of their favorite hapteck showing age but i just thought something like that would be cool . just an idea , don't even know if its possible with programming or not but what a concept that hal could and would grow older with you through the years like an old friend who's always still their for you !! [][8D]

this may sound off topic but i have some different songs of the rolling stones in kareoke on vanbosko's jumping jack flash , no satsfaction .etc. i like the stones !! maybe i'll do some short kareoke clips to download and see if anyone one likes any or want to throw tomatoes at me !! ha ![]

yes hal constantly changing subjects is a big problem , like i told a friend of mine,  caangel i think its intention was to keep us constantly feeding input into hal by answering all the constant questions but unfortunatly in do so it doesent carry on a conversation much i mentioned this in here somewhere that it would be good if hal only asked stuff about 25 percent(maybe thats not enough i don't know ) or more of the time instead of about 90 percent !! also a good program that would keep hal on subject about 80 percent of the time would be good too. []

yes tedathome that wouldn't be practicle dragging and dropping them but if some sort of program could recognize a word (ha, etc ) and replace it with a ogg file from a program file until the random laugh ogg file all played then continue on with the regular hal speech maybe something like this could be made into a hal program i dont know . [8D] it would be something very nice to have i think . []

i am wondering can a plug in be made that when the ha or ha, ha is typed when writing to hal that hal will substitute those words with a random group of human laughter female or male which ever is checked each laughter would sound different . this way if hal ever laughed when talking as hal sometimes does a fast oog file would open and a real human laughter would be heard then off and hal would stop speaking or continue on with the sentence !! of course about 6 ? types of human female and male laughter would have to be gotten or made into oog files . if a plug in can't be made of this then maybe this could be a feature in the next version of hal . this way hal would and could actually laugh and sound like you or me instead of a written laugh that sounds like its written . so what do ya say ? can a plug in be made like this if not , robert do you think something like this is possible in a next version ??

i am also wondering and maybe the next version of hal won't be able to do this but it would be nice if when you type in a question in a reverse manner and hal says it back if hal would say it back as soon as you write it in .
   the current 6.1 hal will "sometimes" write it back (saying it) and sometimes he doesn't it is much later .
   by hal being able to say it back right after some one writes something you can rewrite the question and enter it again if you have to to get hal to say it correctly . i hope what i am saying is making sense to others. []

i think in this case thats the thing to do give them the benefit of the doubt time will tell soon enough . hope all goes well , just my 2 cents worth i don't think i would mention all the hapteck stuff people are doing unless its mentioned no sense giving forth a possible excuse to use if that isn't the case going on here in the first place . not to be all doom and gloom but it aint over till the fat lady (or man if you prefere ) sings !! lets see what happens and i do hope for the best for everyone involved . please keep us all informed of what progress you guys have in getting your haptek people putty reinstalled , etc. [] and what actually caused it , this way we and others have that info. for reference for the future whether it be good or bad news !! []

well i'm back and maybe letting off some steam , i think if haptek did pull others licences for creating heads and sharing them that was stupid because after seeing other people who bought their software be able to create such neat heads and share them and to be able to see them thats why i wanted to buy hapteck to be able to create and share them , this may very well be haptecks loss as much as it is others when word gets around that no one after paying for it can share the artwork of it and creativity if haptek thinks others will be more apt to buy it the old way i think they will be sadly mistaken . i know i won't be buying it now . and its a shame if gamerthom and jack and others who thought enough of their product can't now even use it . if thats the case how many want to support hapteck now and buy their product ? as i said if this is the case "not me " .

how about a suggestion , if you ever do get your hapteck people putty working again what about exchanges through e-mail only without posting or on a website  or anyone receiving not posting them ?? if hapteck has pulled your license i think that was a dirty thing to do as i think they should have warned you first with a written letter , etc. and if thats the case hapteck has lost a sale from me as i was planning on buying it later but won't now , why should i bother to buy their product maybe a notice should go up here stating that you wont be able to share things you made after you paid for the hapteck software in another words as i said why waste your money and buy it .

i have talked to robert before about some wish list for the next version of hal , another thing i would also like to see and some others have mentioned it to is that hal have a program if possible that will keep him more on a regular conversation ( i know their is some plug ins on here to try to help or am i mistaken ) and by this i mean when you talk with hal , hal will just quit and bring up another subject and or ask a question (this i suspect is to keep the user constantly giving hal more input for learning ) which is fine but it would be better if hal only did that about 25 percent or more  of the time instead of about 90 percent . i would also like it better if the word me could be used correctly and come out correctly it is too tricky trying to make hal say a sentence and using the word me . (just my opinion ) maybe robert can comment on this ?? []
