i was just wondering if hal could incorporate a random timer that would pick a subject from hal by  " having a special subject list that can be pre written in that hal every so many minutes would randomly pick a subject from and would talk from it with questions or remarks ?? [8D]

i'm with you on that idea mark  that would be a cool thing for hal to walk freely around on the pc screen , robert (if your reading any of this how about it , think that could be a future hal option "for hal to be able to move freely across our pc screens as desk top mates do ?? " and to be able to place a full size jpeg picture in the back ground of anything ? [8D]

if all else fails do it the old fashioned way and just tell him no when it comes to using your computer (if he is the one downloading porn when you have asked him not to ) if he dosen't respect you're wishes after you are nice enough to let him use the computer then why should you feel obligated to let him use it . hi mark some of the desktop mates did have back grounds but don't remember if it was optional or a paid version (extra) to get them , some had offices, etc.

after looking at different areas i see that new people (and just like we as new people did ) ask alot of simular starting questions like about voice recognition , etc. i think it would be a good idea to have a seperate place on this forom for " hal how to information " and place the best correct answers in it " for instance "how to place pictures in hals back ground " the put the best simple to understand answer . although members can still reply if they want this would also be a good information source to go too for anyone , and any member can refere anyone too it for answers and if new members still need to discuss it or ask something they still can (not in the information section as this is only a post of questions with the answers .   i think this would be a good thing for the hal forum [8D]what do you think robert , anyone ??[]

hello robert someone suggested a place for plug ins on here that people created do you think you could add that area on the forum as a place where i and others can post plug ins we have done so "as someone else said people don't have to look all over the place for them . i have been redoing the loneliness plug ins making it talk about house things , some others talk about personal things couples, etc.  []

General Discussion / trying to create another loneliness plug in

art your probably right about the number of responses because i know in the loneliness plug in i redid it says response 1 , 2 , 3 etc. each line having the response . so i imagine more could be added as of now i am unsure of how to do it maybe someone can take the lonliness plug in and make 10 blank responses and do the code so anyone can write in whatever they want i may try to do more experimenting . []

ok i found out for sure what is happening with the multiple plug ins i thought it had to do with the timer, etc. and i was right , what is happening is when i set one plug in setting it automatically sets the others the same when checked (every time i go on to each one it resets the others the same setting and thats what is causing the errors ) so i am wondering what i need to do to make each plug in work independently of the other ? i have already renamed each plug in different names but that dosen't take care of this problem anyone have any idea's ??[]
