speech recognition not working on hall 6 update. please some one help me . i keep getting atomation not supported  i have purchased hall 5 and it worked fine then i up dated to hall6 but i dont know what to do whith activation code to fix problem .  < THANK YOU VERY MUCH > that seems to have done the trick

You need to have the paid version of Hal 6 to enable speech recognition. [B)]

Actually both the paid and trial version of Hal 6 are identical. The trial simply stops working after 30 days.

The Hal 6 installer doesn't include the Microsoft SAPI 5.1 installation, but it works with it if it is present. What probably happened is that when you removed Hal 5, it removed the SAPI 5.1 speech engine. You may download it for free from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/speech/download/sdk51/ and it will work again.
