Josh - that's freaking awesome!

I was trying to make the editor say something else - different sound file - but it won't lip synch.  How does this work?  Is the editor expecting a special kind of file?  (tried with a wav and an ogg)

Hey Hathead,
I tried to research that and found it pretty difficult to find out anything, even the company that started doing it went under, but I did find that the people putty theator recorder will work, you can right click on the record and input a wav to convert. It must have a special encoder built in to the oog or wav files.

and thanks for the cool toy Josh.

yes you need to convert your wav with peopleputty (demo is ok).
This software generates some kind of lipsyncing file embeddded within the output ogg file.

That link is currently broken.
Is there an alternative source?

[:D] CuttingEdge,  I still have the original zip folder for
joshbabe.zip on my secondary drive. If you wish, I can send
it to you for placement at UltraHalForum. I did a search here
and Josh hasn't made a posting in some time now. [:)]

I always try to keep backups of stuff like that. [;)]

Josh reminds me of the Lone Ranger
He comes from nowhere
Does his good deed
and disappears

People ask "Who was that masked man"?
and all we find is a silver bullet

Hi GamerThom.

If you could send it to:
UHEFStaff@ultrahalforum.com
I would appreciate it.
I will dedicate a Section of my Forum for Josh and his People Putty Tool so it will be accessable to all members.

Sounds like a good idea to me. [:D]

Darn. I just tried to e-mail it to you but AOL won't allow files
larger than 16MB, and joshbabe.zip is 24.4MB

Have to think of another way to do it.

OK people, I came up with a solution to the joshbabe.zip
file upload or e-mail problem. I have made the file available
for download on SaveFile.com file hosting service.  [:D]

Here is the link to the page you can download it from;

http://www.savefile.com/files/6136715 [;)]

The above link is no longer active. If anyone wants
"JoshBoy's FullBody Hap Editor", it can now be downloaded
from the "Archive Section" of my site
Character Creations & Design Works.
The author of it did not provide any documentation when
he released it in February (2006), so it should be considered
a beta release for experimentation purposes only, and
I can take no responsibility for how it works.

It may take a while for you to download the file
if you are on a dial-up service, as the file size is
24.49 MegaBytes. Broadband users should be able to
download the file in less than 10 minutes depending on
your download speed and available bandwidth.

Hi GamerThom.

137 KB/Sec, 1 Minute and 30 Seconds to download 24.49 Mega Bytes, I have had rare sites that allowed me to download at 387 KB/Sec which could of been a 30 second Download.

Thanks for the Download, I will post it up later today.
