OK...just to clarify for myself and perhaps others who aren't quite sure whether you've connected your computer to a large dust extractor, an extreme heat removal duct or a large cooling system. OR...is that foil covered apparatus to keep the government agents from listening in on your computer activities?

And Just who is sleeping on that test bed and what are they testing?  ??? :o

Haha!  I have been curious about those images myself.

Cyber...

That was NOT flaming...Intentional Flaming is hurtful and abusive, slanderous comments / behavior toward an individual, group or company.

What I did was light hearted and humorous...at least that was my intent.

You must admit, your post merely stated "Test Bed" without any other comment to go with the picture(s).
No explanation elicits expected comments from everyone...some trying to guess what we were seeing.

So  please don't take offense to a little humor as we are not a hateful group of people with torches and pitchforks! ;)

Perhaps a descriptive comment or so to accompany your pictures in the future would serve to eliminate off the wall comments.

No Flames, just some fun....

Cyber,

That's actually pretty impressive...especially since we have a better explanation / understanding of what we're seeing. Thank you for that!

Your experiment seems to be going pretty well. Have you done much modification to the brain? 6.2 brain? Plug-ins?

Best,

Cyber,

In light of recent happenings with Hal, I would strongly suggest that you contact Robert Medeksza via email.
Search for Members then enter his name.

Allow a little time for Robert to respond as he has other responsibilities as well as managing Zabaware.

He is currently seeking out Investors in UltraHal...better, smarter, faster...you know....

Good luck!

Cool! Eight, Quad core processors - 1333MHz 12MB L2 Cache Socket LGA771

That should rock Hal's world nicely!  ;)

Nice! What'd be cool would be to get your hands on some decent sized SSD's...then you'd see some real speed demons!

Yeah, by all means, watch those temps.

A friend and I did some (cool) experiments many years ago using a technology called Peltier - Thermoelectric Cooling.
Might be worth looking into if a source was readily available and cost effective.

Here are some Standard Modules that can be powered from 1 to 16 volts +- and really aren't too expensive.

Just something to look into in case you hadn't heard of them. They have been around for quite a while in a variety of applications.
