Ultra Hal 7.0 / Never Enough or too Much
« on: July 12, 2014, 01:07:07 pm »
Thank you for any responses. Just something to think about maybe for some members.
With all the plugins that everyone develops and then going to the extreme of sorta re-inventing UltraHal. When as members do you ever believe we mess with Robert's UltraHal too much? Please don't miss understand the question as I believe everything that some of our best members have done was to bring UltraHal to higher levels or at least customized levels. But does anyone feel that all these sometimes improvements go beyond the real intentions of the creator of UltraHal(Robert M.)? I really hope this translates well. I am definitely not saying its a bad thing because Robert M. has in the past incorporated some plugins that others have developed but is there a time to move slower with just random ideas (not that it is a negative thing) but just trying to alter UltraHal too much and Robert M. not really saying much about it. I am not excluding myself of not using other members ideas or plugins!!! Sometimes makes me wonder because is that he is too busy or also does believe in keeping things moving in any rational direction that makes UltraHal more? Giving new comers as well as the members that have been using UltraHal for years a chance to see that there is always something of interest for everyone looking at UltraHal thus generating more interest.

There is a new upgraded version of UltraHAl that Robert M. will get out as he mentioned but after the other projects which help Zabaware's bottom line and exposure which indeed are priorities to maintain interest. Also mentioned above.

I guess in short does one side exploit and really slow Roberts progress or does it all help to improve UltraHal by evolving and keeping all these resources that others can bring to the table? Is there a conflict we are over looking any where in the short term or long term?? In UltraHals own words, "Can the two coexist"?

Thanks,
raybe

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Anything we can do?
« on: December 08, 2012, 04:19:22 pm »
Dear Robert, just wondering and I feel it is okay to post if not my apologies. NOTE: If not appropriate feel free to remove this topic.

At this point is there anything more as a group or individuals we can do to help the Ultra Hal project along. I am not speaking for anyone. Last time I tried I had come up short from a business stand point and was very surprised and disappointed. Is there something more we can possibly contribute. I have tried purchasing extra licenses but there must be some creative or not so creative way to get Ultra Hal over the hump.

Please note I am speaking in general terms and I do realize this is a very difficult economic position for most including myself. But I also realize I need lots of balance in my life as hard as things get you need to step away although life doesn't seem it will let you. Ultra Hal allows me those few hours of separation or just plain release of frustration when you don't want to spread the negativity. I am no doctor just my own thoughts and experiences.

Please do not take this message as it seems negative even if I read it myself in some way!! I know you are very creative have made plans and probably as a business person know exactly what is best for your company. Time and money is not one single companies obstacle especially today. Just wanted to put out there. Again any Mod. or Robert feel free to remove if this really doesn't help anything or casts a negative tone for Ultra Hal and other members. The very last thing I would want to do!!

While waiting and watching members just trying to add anything to the forum. Just wondering if there is any more we can do if any one does choose too or has the means, doesn't just have to be monetary although i believe any company facing today's everyday issues and technology would probably put it at the top of the list. I know I do with just trying collect account receivables.

Thank you,

General Discussion / How safe is the internet information??
« on: July 27, 2012, 12:43:47 pm »
I was wondering what the consensus was for how safe plug-ins are that allow Ultra Hal to research the internet and all the info returned. I subscribe to many Tech info blogs such as ZDNet Tech Update and it always seems that there are much larger chances of being infected then we realize such as the latest holes in Java exists for example. Does any of this pertain to Ultra Hal getting on line and researching to return information that our own protection may not catch because of the methods used by Ultra Hal to gather this info? Just curious because I never see members mentioning this while others are looking for this feature more and more. Any reply welcomed as always.

Thanks,

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Lost research capabilities/Internet:browser function
« on: June 08, 2012, 07:30:24 pm »
I just noticed that UltraHal will no longer research or open Internet browser as it used to do be it could be annoying in the earlier releases. Just mention research and up came browser but now my Ultra Hal will not launch browser at all. Tried various key words but nothing. Must be plugin but I was hoping someone can help me narrow it down or if it has happened to them?

General Discussion / Post Response
« on: January 11, 2012, 01:43:18 pm »
I am not sure if anyone has this problem or just keeps better records of where they have posted? I would get an e-mail when I checked box, Notify me of replies. I never seem to get a  anything that someone has responded to the particular threads I may written. Just wondering if anyone has same problem and I know there was trouble with keeping your e-mail in profile so that might be something to check and as someone else mentioned needs to be repaired.

Thanks,

General Discussion / Blessings and Prayers
« on: January 11, 2012, 01:24:17 pm »
I received word that Tedathome has taken ill.(Duskrider) Others may have more details but I'm not so much concerned about the details then I am so beat to hear another member get sick or worse. I know life goes on and it's not about me but I really wanted to get this off my chest. Just too much right now on top of everyone's own problems and lives. I pray for members here and not here including all their families to stay strong, healthy and try real hard to keep a smile on your face for yourself and others everyday.

Best wishes,

General Discussion / Thank you
« on: December 10, 2011, 01:29:26 pm »
Would just like to thank lightspeed for the extra work he has been doing lately. I do not mean to leave anyone else out because I have been receiving help from many members but lightspeed has been on a roll and its great to see. But the longer term members know who I'm talking about and it seems that the newer members are also learning quicker from all the work everyone in this community, OTC to mention another has done and shared.

There are many more members. That's the only tricky part about a post like this is I really don't want to leave anybody out but it's time for a mention in my opinion anyway.

Maybe the holiday's but I don't think so, all of you really just deserve a "thank you". Just my thoughts.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Take a Breath
« on: December 09, 2011, 01:09:56 am »
It might have been mentioned before but I can not find any new info (going blind & getting older by the minute). How can you have Ultra Hal in a constant breathing mode. Not just during start up. Boy, I've been real nostalgic lately. Thanks to those that can relate and even the members that can't.

Starting a new Ultra Hal project but never getting rid of my original. Just thought with the little more I have experienced I feel like trying some things I haven't tried before.

Thanks for your help,
raybe

Speech Technology / NeoSpeech
« on: December 05, 2011, 09:19:52 pm »
Robert or any one please feel free. But is there any problems using the newer NeoSpeech voices I'm not aware of? I have posted a similar issue in I believe the New Bridget NeoSpeech thread. But the voice now is registered and does not give me 'the voice is a trial' but when I open Ultra Hal the voice is there working fine with it's little intro speech for start up, but when the character is fully loaded and Ultra Hal is up and running I get no voice or lip movement except for the typed response in the response window from my character. It loads on C drive and all other TTS programs seem to be working except within Ultra Hal although it did work when it thought it was a trial version. Had full lip sync as well when in trial mode.

Thank you any help would be appreciated.

Just something that has been bothering me even if a different vers. of Ultra Hal came out tomorrow.

Can someone please give me a quick tutorial of loading a new body skin on a full body character? Downloaded a new one and I will mention from where just don't remember right now, I went to install on bodygirl figure and completely froze. I don't remember anything!! It's a full body clothes and skin jpg file.

Thanks,
raybe

I don't know why now but still enjoy messing or re-learning things I've forgotten. If anyone has the time and can give me a quick lesson if there is such a thing?

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Hello, just like a simple update
« on: October 31, 2011, 03:48:49 pm »
I'm asking including Robert can we get just a simple couple of lines about the update or how are you doing?

This was not meant to sound sarcastic but every time you just post sometimes it sounds like something it really isn't. If I missed something would anybody be nice enough to let me know. Maybe I'm missing something because all the posts really don't mention when to expect revision of Ultra Hal. Maybe someone can tell me something I'm not aware of.

Thanks,
raybe

General Discussion / Kinect Hacking party
« on: June 29, 2011, 02:33:55 pm »
http://www.technologyreview.com/computing/37836/?a=f

Just found this link and realized the potential of Microsoft's Kinect hardware and they even sounded positive about people tearing it apart. Maybe they just made it sound that way. During some code camp.

But it seemed like a nice bit of info for more experienced members and of coarse Robert M. to look at.

http://www.technologyreview.com/computing/37836/  Just in case because this is the link that some one had posted from another AI forum.

No spam for Kinect just thought others would get more info about it and how it might be easier to implement into Ultra Hal or not.
