Title: Ivona voices
Post by: jasondude7116 on November 01, 2010, 12:35:16 pm
I usually don't promote things like this, but for anyone that likes a "human" sounding voice you might check this out:

http://www.ivona.com/

I can't remember how I stumbled upon it, but I am always interested in new tts voices. I never knew these guys existed.
Good voices, as far as transition, emotion, and general quality. I personally have Amy and Brian (british). I think the newer voices are better quality than the older ones like Jennifer.
Not trying to be a commercial. Just thought you might likey :)

The voices and inflections are quite well done and sound very realistic.

The prices are, however, a bit higher than comparable voices ($24 higher than ATT's Crystal).

Hopefully prices might come down a bit but if a nice quality TTS voice is in your wish list, then
these would make wonderful additions.

Good find!

Does any one know if these 'Ivona' voices work with Ultra Hal and lip sync? They do sound good.

Thanks,
raybe

Ivona is really amazing and useful also. I would like to subscribe for the recent alters. What should I do for that?

I have the Amy voice and it sounds and works great with ultra Hal. Shows up as a standard sapi5 voice.
